Excellent recommendation with Dr Shumrick
Telehealth
On January 27, 2025 Dr Shumrick removed a hematoma on my upper lip which had been there for several years. I was told previously that it would be difficult and look ugly if I had this done. I went to see Dr. Shumrick in December 2024 and he said it would not be a problem. I schedule surgery on the above date and can say I am so happy with the results. Dr Shumrick explained everything prior to surgery and I felt comfortable with this. Today February 1, 2025 I can say the stitches are almost gone and my lip looks great! Thank you Dr. Shumrick for a perfect outcome. Yes, I would recommend Dr. Shumrick, he was great!

My wife recently went through an extensive forehead flap reconstruction of a large area of her nose, removed by a MOHS surgeon because of cancer. We had been advised by that Dr. Shumrick was arrogant and had a lousing bedside manner but technically was a good plastic surgeon. The entire experience over three separate surgeries was terrible. We were berated for asking questions -- "Did you not read the handout?". No one explained the detail of what to expect -- "it's in the handout" . She was wheeled out of the post-op room literally as the lights were being turned off. His nurse didn't return our messages. Surgical outcome was not excellent, as he states in his handout but he always said "You look wonderful, fantatic". We're not blind. Most likely she will require more interventions. He didn't want to see her back, only if we think it is needed. WOW! How can he say that patients are pleased in a year if he doesn't see them back. Will be transferring care to another surgeon.

I had a nasal carcinoma removed right on the top of my nose and another in my cheek. The opening on my nose was substantial and I was concerned to how it would be stitched. Dr. Shamrock was honest about all complications but I felt like I was in good hands. It did not look pretty after surgery but after 4 days and a follow up it is looking much better. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shamrock to anyone.

I had septoplasty and rhinoplasty done back in 2013 by Dr. Shumrick. I knew I had broken my nose when I was younger but my parents never really believed me. I was in surgery for extra hours to remove as much scar tissue as possible and I will tell you it changed my life. I'm SO happy with my nose and I rarely get sinus infections. I used to get them so often that they were worried I'd build up a resistance to antibiotics. He is pretty cut and dry, gets to the point and doesn't have the most comforting coddling personality but he absolutely did a great job. I get compliments often when I tell people and if I could get referral credit to the number of people I send to him, that would be amazing!!!! Haha ??

I had a pretty significant skin cancer on my nose and was referred to Dr Shumrick. He let me know that the tumor would be removed with very minimal scarring. This couldn’t have been further from the case and I had a significant and very noticeable scar plus the shape of my nose was altered significantly. He admitted that the outcome wasn’t what was forecast and performed the surgery again - at my expense with only slightly better results. When I spoke with him about it he told me to use makeup

Dr. Shumrick was honest and candid regarding my concern. He was clear and shared he felt uncomfortable performing a procedure due to the location near my eyelid. He choose to do the ethical thing and not take a chance, and instead refer me elsewhere to minimize potential long term effects. He was kind enough to offer me a refund for my co-pay in which I did not ask for. He choose to offer that, and truly that showed true professionalism and empathy. He was polite and confident in his approach.

Dr. Shumrick did a septorhinoplasty on me and I couldn't be more pleased. It turned out better than I ever imagined! I highly recommend Dr. Shumrick for facial plastic surgery, he did an amazing job and I had a difficult septum to fix. He gave me the nose I always dreamed of having!

Dr. Shumrick gave me my life back! Sinus issues caused so many health problems for me. I saw many different EMT doctors, and Dr. Shumrick was the only one to find cysts in my sinuses, and was the only one not to prescribe a nasal spray and send me on my way. My surgery went flawlessly with zero bruising. The staff was amazing at all locations. I haven't had a sinus infection since my surgery almost 2 years ago! He's a quiet man, but a great one. THANK YOU Dr. Shumrick!

Not only That, i got in today(appt. was at 9am) & i wasn't actually seen til 10:15!! Then he Had the audacity to only clean 1 EAR & told me I didn't need the other 1 cleaned! He literally laughed in my face & was very rude to me!

I had a 'possible' malignant tumor biopsied by Dr Shumrick and was told I'd have results 'in a few days'. After 2 weeks and 2 ignored MyChart emails, I had to call the office for results (benign). I learned that they'd had the results in hand for at least 4 days, but did not notify me. This is simply INEXCUSABLE when cancer is a possibility! The 'tumor' was removed in a second visit. The final insult was that I had to pay co-pays for BOTH office visits for this lack of service.
