Over the recent years, I have been trusting Dr. Aryah to be my eye/sight care physician. He, and his staff have been providing me my eyesight healthcare, and I am very pleased. Recently, he took an interest in my general healthcare, and ordered neglected testing that is passed without notice from my actual health care provider. THANK YOU DR. ARYAH

Dr. Aryah is great and a pleasure to go and see. I was very insecure about having a cataract removed because I can't stand having anything around my eyes, especially a cutting tool. He reassured me there was nothing to worry about and I wouldn't even know it was being done. It took only a few minutes and I was totally un-aware that it was even done. I would do it again without hesitation.

I was referred to Oregon Eye Associates by my pcp to get an exam for contacts and glasses. I have not had an effective eye exam for years as I can't get a pair of glasses that work for me. Dr. Aryah seemed like a nice enough guy, but he really didn't do the exam. A tech (maybe? I wasn't given her title) who was quite cold and impersonal did my whole exam, dilated my eyes, and said the doctor would be in soon. It was not soon. The Doc showed up later and spent maybe all of 2 minutes with me as he looked in my eyes with the bright light, glanced at the chart, and said "Looks like she got you all taken care of." Not a great experience. I'll know more when I get my glasses if they were able to get the prescription right, although I don't have much faith. They did not seem to care that I have not had a pair of glasses that will work for me in years, but it has been a huge problem for me. It just seemed like everyone there was going thru the motions to get me in and out.

I have been a patient for many years and have been satisfied with Dr. Aryah and the staff. However, I did not feel that CV19/CDC guidelines were being meant in the lobby due to the large volume of patients who were waiting for their appointment. I was worried especially considering most were quite elderly. There were not enough seats available for patients and some were seated in spots that had been marked to be left vacant. I was so uncomfortable that I considered rescheduling my appointment. The tech. was practically running to see patients as quickly as possible even though I waited 30 minutes for my appointment. I would like to see fewer patients being scheduled so that the wait time is less and the lobby arranged for safe social distancing.

Terrible experience with this dr. I was sent by referral by another dr for an emergency appt. After waiting an hour he finally gave me 30 seconds of his time to misdiagnos my issue. When I suggested what I thought it was and what the first dr also suspected, he wouldn’t consider it at all. I had to force him to answer all my questions before he left the room. Testing came back and the original dr’s diagnosis was correct. He prescribed me incorrect medicine for an issue I did not have because he did not dedicate any time to actually look into it. Will not be returning to him ever.

At this point I am scared for my eye. I had hood surgery I think the stitches were taken out to soon and my right eye broke open this doctor said I would be fine and sent me home. I wish I would have read his reviews before scheduling this surgery

We drive the 100 miles from Eugene to Portland to see a real opthalmologist at OHSU Casey Eye Institute. "Dr." Aryah missed a retinal detachment in my wife, even though she repeatedly complained about loss of vision. Eventually, he refused even to examine her. When we went to another doctor the NEXT DAY, retinal detachment was immediately diagnosed. See this guy at your own risk. He is most certainly NOT the "best ophthalmologist in Oregon." He may actually be Oregon's worst.

I would highly recommend Dr. Aryah . He explained my medical condition and was the most professional physician I have ever experienced. I trust him with all of my ophthalmology needs. If someone is looking for the best ophthalmologist in Oregon, they should see Dr. Aryah even if it's a drive. He's worth it.
