It's apparent, in my case that this physician does not read the pharmaceutical inserts on the medication he prescribes. Caveat emptor..

Some physicians are highly skilled but have poor bedside manners while others have wonderful bedside manners but possess only mediocre skills. Dr. Hematpour is one of those rare physicians who is not only an excellent, highly skilled surgeon in the very complex, demanding field of cardiac electrophysiology, he has also been terrific (and patient) at carefully explaining to me my condition as well as my options in a very clear and comprehensible manner. Because of COVID-19 and my living a great distance from Houston, two of my visits with Dr. Hematpour have been telephone consultations and, even during those, Dr. Hematpour has taken his time, never been rushed, has answered my many questions, and responded to my concerns fully. And besides all the foregoing, Dr. Hematpour is simply a very nice, thoughtful individual. I highly recommend him.

4.7 hours for a 15 minute appointment. After 6 weeks calls day before surgery & cancels because he forgot to mention a form. Made Alzheimer’s wheelchair bound mom wait in parking lot to be called in to room. Says he will call to reschedule but of course does not. Take what this guy says with a grain of salt & avoid at all costs!

Doctor Hematpour is a great doctor, very friendly, takes all time necessary to answer questions and explain your situation fully. The doctor's support staff goes way above and beyond expectations. His nurse stayed on top of the situation, spending over a half hour working with me through and issue I am having. I've never seen this level of concern.

I owe my life to Dr Hematpour. My heart stopped due to a dangerous rhythm and I almost died. I spent several days at the hospital till my condition got more stable. Everyone recommended Dr Hematpour as a heart rhythm expert. When he came to my bedside he was very professional and explained everything in extreme detail. He performed a cardiac ablation on me. Everything went smoothly. I left the hospital few days later and I’ve done great since then. I feel very lucky.

I had atrial fibrillation. I felt heart racing every day and I had gone to the ER five times. Dr Hematpour did ablation on me. I had a great recovery. I’m feeling back to normal with no problems. Dr Hematpour did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Hematpour has an outstanding bedside manner. My life has changed after he performed ablation for my arrhythmia. I had done an ablation with another doctor with no good results. I was referred to Dr Hematpour by my PCP who told me he is the to go guy for difficult cases like mine. I had the best experience with him

Do not let this doctor do an ablation on you. he stuck a hole in my heart as he was coming out. I was in hospital 8 days and 3 weeks later I still feel awful. I feel he was careless and the pain was unbelievable. I woke up the next day in critical care cardiac unit in Memoral Herman Hospital. I got very good care there but Hematpour only came in twice while I was in the hospital.

As someone working in the medical field, I was totally impressed by Dr. Hematpour's bedside manner. He implanted a pacemaker for me. He was very respectful and reassuring and he made sure the whole process was as smooth as possible.

my grandmother had a heart rhythm problem for many years and had seen a few doctors including another cardiologist before she was referred to Dr. Hematpour. He spent a lot of time listening to my grand mother and was extremely compassionate and caring. He did an ablation on my grand mother . Since then she is doing great . He has been very responsive and after the procedure he always answered to every single of our calls. I am totally satisfied with our experience with him.

Dr. Hematpour represents what the medical community at large seems to be lacking...a sense of empathy for the emotional state of the patient by communicating with you as opposed to "at" you. He listens, and responds. We consider ourselves most fortunate to have an excellent Doctor/Patient relationship with him.
