I had been seeing another urologist but after months he was astonishingly clueless. My symptoms of occasional bloody and decreasing urinary stream progressed, leading to acute urinary retention, ER visits and a full time catheter. Thank God my wife scoured the earth for leading urologists, found Dr. Michel and made an appt.From day one I knew I was in good hands. I'm not sure i can fully explain it, but Dr Michel exudes an energy where you just know he's on top of his game and you're going to get the best possible care known to mankind -- its experience, skill, brilliance, compassion and caring all rolled together. He diagnosed my issues, performed a miraculous surgery and fully resolved my urinary issues in short order, while initiating treatment for metastatic prostate cancer. His quick diagnosis and subsequent actions literally saved my life. Dr Michel is the GOAT of urology so if you have an issue go see him! His team Moz, Tony, X and others are all great also.

Currently in a double blind study for a vaccine to prevent bladder infections. It will be worth all the trouble associated with the drive and medical appointments if it works. So nice to see they are working on creating this vaccine for someone like me with a spinal cord injury. time will tell.

I took my son for cancer follow-up treatment to see Dr. Michel. After waiting for a very long time, I learned that they didn't have my son's medical records that were sent to them 3 times in the past and they confirmed having received them over the phone. After another hour, they finally found them. The doctor insisted on doing all blood tests and ultrasound in his office. I didn't like it because they don't have a portal where you can access them but I accepted. I have been calling them over and over to get the results but no one ever answers or gets back to you. My son was supposed to do an MRI and a CT Scan tomorrow but the facility called to cancel because they have been calling Dr. Michel's office for days to get the medical notes and no one has returned their calls. This is outrageous and ridiculous! I don't recommend this office to anyone! There are wonderful, caring doctors who truly care about their patients. Too bad Dr. Michel is not one of them.

Sent me a $1,000 bill during the middle of a global pandemic & 3 years after I had visited his office (where I had a poor experience). He also firmly insisted on completing a prostate exam despite me being only 26 years old at the time. I would not recommend.

100% disagree with person who says Dr Michel runs tests just for the money. Dr. Michel is meticulously careful and attentive. He is caring and very good at what he does. He always explains options to me and explains the pros and cons of every treatment including The potential costs. There is a reason his waiting room is always full! He is an excellent doctor who listens to and engages every patient. I drive an hour just to see him because he is worth it.

Talked at me not to me. Authoritarian. Trained staff move patients through efficiently. Measuring urine flow on several devices is beyond thorough, seemed redundant for an experienced doctor who should be able to draw inferences from other factors. Office personnel did not return my call. Does not upload MRI automatically for my internist to look at, but maybe I need to send release. Pushing uphill.

this Dr. loves Money, so he runs a lot tests through his office/lab. this way he can bill Insurance Companies and collect$$$$$$

On a scale of 1 to 10, Dr. Kia Michel is an 11. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and caring. My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer – Gleason 7 (4 + 3). We decided on Dr. Michel because his qualifications and reputation far exceeded all of the others we checked. Dr. Michel performed the HIFU procedure and we can't say enough great things about Dr. Michel and the HIFU. My husband is now free of cancer and we will be forever grateful that we found Dr. Michel.

My experience leads to a total admiration, respect, and gratitude after being his patient for 6 years by now - and will be as long as I live as a cancer survivor requiring constant monitoring.
