Unprofesional
She is not very professional and is more concerned about milking your insurance and also has shady billing practices, wants to bill for charges my insurance says I do not owe.

Highly Recommend
Dr Smith has to be the most caring doctor I have ever met in my life. She takes the time to actually listen to you and finds things that no one else has because of how thorough she is. I have had to wait sometimes but it is totally worth it because I know she will spend just as much time with me if I need it. She is a private practice and is not part of mychart but I don't mind this a bit. It's refreshing having a doctor that doesn't see you for 5 minutes then send you on your way. She practices for the medicine and to help people, not just to make money. Her staff is excellent and very caring as well. I have recommended many people to see her. 2 months ago I wasn't able to make a fist due to the pain and stiffness in my hands and now I can make a complete fist. I no longer have issues with opening jars or bottles. My pain is so much better. I have seen multiple doctors trying to find out what was causing my pain with no luck, Dr Smith knew after the first set of labs. Highly recommend

Dr. is the best rheumatology Specialist
She has diagnosed and my RA problems and has been of great help to get me mostly pain free without using addictive drugs. She listens and pays attention to my issues. She evens answers my text msg's almost immediately or within a few hours. Other Dr's use an answering service and maybe text back in few days or never. She takes the time needed and just not in and out and on to the next patient's. I would recommend her!!!

I have been treated for about 6 years now. Dr. Smith is very professional. She knows how to treat RA and many other conditions. She discovered that I had cancer awhile back I’ve been treated for that by an oncologist but it was because she saw something in my blood work. This alerted her to have me get checked out. I’m in remission and very thankful to her. I continue being treated for RA and severe pain. She takes time each appt covering all that’s going on with you. So sometimes you have wait times but as far as I’m concerned she is well worth the wait. I feel truly blessed to be her patient. So I will say if your having arthritis issues she is the best doctor around this area. I recommend her for sure. God Bless you Dr. Smith. Marty

Amazing Doctor!
Dr. Smith is one of the most knowledgeable, thorough, and caring physicians that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Having been a RN for 30+ years, I have very high expectations of the providers that I visit. Dr. Smith has met and/or exceeded them all and proven herself to be an amazing physician. Her diagnostic skills are the best! She goes out of her way to provide her patients with care that considers all of their health needs. She truly cares about all of her patients. I feel truly blessed to have found her! If you are looking for a doctor that will listen to you, consider all of your other health issues, and provide the kind of treatment(s) that will make your life so much better, Dr. Smith is the provider for you. You will find her office and clinical staff just as caring as she is.

Very Unprofessional
I have never left a review for a doctor before but felt so strongly that people needed to be warned before choosing Dr. Smith as their rheumatologist. I saw Dr. Smith last year in Hannibal and was impressed with my first appointment. She was extremely thorough and while she has quirks I didn't mind them. I then struggled to see her and never again saw her in office. I did have 2 different phone appointments. Eventually the phone calls stopped and I was never able to get ahold of her again. She refused to return calls and skipped any appointments I made. I never received blood test results but magically they were submitted to my primary care physician. Also note that I was on some pretty strong medications that I had to go to my primary physician to have managed. The way that Dr. Smith and her office handled me as a patient was so unprofessional and no person should ever be treated that way from a doctor and her staff.

Dr. Kinim Smith is an amazing physician she takes the time to get to know her patients and actually listens to them. She puts in long hours and dedication to her patients as well. I highly recommend her, her staff also rocks and deserves to be recognized as well. I hope she never leaves the area because I will definitely follow she is worth it.

I was a patient of Dr Smith for over a year, and although there are many things that I thought were different, or odd, during my time with her, I did feel like she took the time to understand me and treat me - at first. I eventually had a medical emergency that included an ambulance ride and emergency surgery directly related to my care with Dr Smith. However, none of that is the reason for this post and low rating. I am currently on Long Term Disability. Of the dozen or so doctors I have seen in recent years, Dr Kinim Smith is the only one that has been unable to produce medical records for me. My LTD insurance first requested this in July (over 2 months ago). All my other medical professionals were very responsive to this request - but Dr Smith has just given excuses ….. blah blah blah busy, blah blah blah Covid. These are the same challenges everyone is facing right now, yet she is the only one that is unable to respond. Thus delaying my LTD income.

Dr Smith actually listens to the patient. She is very thorough. Worth the sometimes long wait because each patient is given the needed time, not some arbitrary allotment of time.

Amazing! I am a brand new patient and she did run super late, but I expect that at any specialist appointment. She spent 2 hours with me during my first appointment and is looking at the entire picture digging to find the root cause of all my diseases. No other doctor that takes insurance will do that. I have so much hope and confidence in her ability to help me manage my RA and improve my overall health!

She was very rude. I waited an hour at each appt. She called me in the office, then texted for 10 minutes on her phone without even saying a word to me or acknowledging I was even there. She said I had something different at all 3 appt.'s. Everytime you mention a symptom, she starts talking about her own symptoms, aches & pains and doesn't even listen to you. I was paying her to listen to & diagnose me- not the other way around! Worst dr. experience of my life!!!!!!!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Smith for about 1 1/2 years. when I first went to see her I was in bad shape. With RA, Fibromyalgia, Autoimmune Disease. She has brought me a long way from where I was. I feel like she has helped me to manage my chronic conditions. She is very caring and very professional and knows a lot about all of my conditions especially how these conditions are manifested in women. I was seeing a different Doctor before I started seeing Dr. Smith. It is like night and day difference.

Dr. Smith is very caring and takes the time to thoroughly explain all tests and procedures and the results of these tests. I have never had a doctor take the time for this in the past. She and her assistant, Stephanie, are very friendly. I am so glad I found her. At ones appointment time, you do have to wait quite a while because she takes time with each patient. This is not a problem for me, as I am retired. If you are in need of a rheumatologist, Dr. Smith is the one you should see.
