Most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever had.
I’m healing from serious and the doctor was out of the office while I was in the hospital.. I had to wait for her to be back to submit paperwork for my Medical Leave. When she got back, she didn’t respond to any of my time sensitive emails about any of the very important follow up, after care. I should’ve had paperwork for my time off, extensive blood work to ensure I wasn’t reverting back to being sick, referrals to specialists for a rare condition. Instead of healing, I spent weeks on the phone trying to get everything figured out that was her responsibility. When I did see her over a month later, she said I should be fine to go back to work even though I wasn’t healed yet. When I asked for more time, she ignored my requests for weeks. My HR department and state disability now have a mess to clean up because of the delay in her response and paperwork. I’ve never experienced such egregious indifference from a healthcare professional.

One unhappy patient – Feb 18, 2024

At the beginning of COVID, I had a wellness visit scheduled. Everything moved online, so I checked in with her virtually. I told her I was worried about COVID, and that I had a fever of 99 and sniffles. She told me 99 is not a fever; it's a "temperature," and I probably am "OVER-REACTING" & have allergies. She said she'd prescribe me some allergy medicine (?!) I told her I really didn't need allergy medicine; I had some anyway from my allergist that was working just fine. She proceeded to prescribe it anyway. I later received a bill for this joke of a zoom call. When I contacted Oschner and told them that wellness exams are free, since you are basically going for your employer, they said my exam was not wellness, since I had discussed MENTAL HEALTH and ALLERGY issues! I hope that with 170,000 deaths from COVID / Louisiana in the lead for COVID-19 cases & deaths, that Dr. Raveendran is not treating others the way I was treated.

Dr. Raveendran is by far the most caring and thorough doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. I had a somewhat pressing need to establish care with a primary care physician versus any run of the mill urgent care facility, and her office was able to work me in the next day. Instead of just addressing my issue, Dr. Raveendran went from head to toe to get a full picture of my medical status. She asked questions and brought up things that I would never even think of mentioning, and took into consideration my wishes and lifestyle. To sum it up, she is incredibly smart, passionate and genuinely cares about the well being of her patients. I’m lucky to have her as my physician.

I so enjoy having Dr. Raveendran as my internist! She is the best internist I have seen since Dr. Diechman retired, and I saw 2 others before her. She qualified, intelligent and very caring. She listens to everything I have to say and then offers suggestions. I have never felt rushed for time at her office, and all the other employees are great. Since starting with her, I have lost 56 lbs. (with WW freestyle) at her suggestion, and discontinued many meds I used to take. I no longer even test within the diabetes Type 2 range after having had it since Katrina. At 70, I am enjoying the best health I have had in several decades! I can highly recommend her!

Dr. Raveendran has been my PCP for at least three years and has been a great doctor. I've had some ER visits in that time, as well as one major surgery, so I've had quite a few doctor visits. She listens attentively and thoroughly. She asks questions and explains in terms I can understand. She is, by far, the best doctor I've ever had. She remembers details of my medical history and general life from one visit to the next. She is always friendly and compassionate as well. In the past, if I didn't care for a doctor, I simply didn't go back. This resulted in a string of one-visit stands. I am so grateful for finally finding a doctor worth sticking with.

I found her to be dismissive and tone deaf when dealing with a patient who requires engaging in discussion rather than being told what to do and passively accepting a doctor’s orders. As a person with a PhD in Communication Studies, I knew when she was feigning active listening, especially when she immediately changed subjects when I conveyed my discomfort with a medication she wanted to offer as an alternative. She needs maturing and to diminish her air of superiority.

Dr. Raveendran is wonderful! Its obvious she truly cares for her patients. She was very knowledgeable, and discussed my diagnosis with me, she didn't just "tell" me. I am so happy to have found her as my new primary care physcian.

I was a new patient of Dr. Raveendran. She took me off a blood pressure medication to try something else but medication she prescribed didn't work for me. I have been calling & sending emails since 8/8/2016 requesting to be put back on previous medication that actually worked. it is now 9/12/16 and she has ignored every request. I am now completely out of medication. I have never had a doctor who has shown so little regard for a person's health.

Sadly, an inexperienced doctor working under the prestige of the Ochsner brand. The doctor decided to cut an incision into my wife's body without numbing the skin first. Also attempted 5 times to numb the infected area under the skin with a needle inside my wife's body. Once should qualify. Did I mention that she played with the needle inside her body.
