so we got an X-ray and asked the doctor to advise us on treatment. He didn’t spend more than one minute assessing her before deciding that she’s “one of those toddlers who just walk strangely,” and that she will “eventually unlearn that behavior,” to paraphrase what was said. Despite her obvious swelling and discomfort, he sent us away without another word and she continued to limp and worsen for another month before we decided we no longer trust this doctor or his diagnosis and sought a second opinion in Tusculum at Watauga Orthopedics, who got us in same day and did an X-ray and had immediate results that showed a clear break. She is finally getting the treatment we expected from the beginning. At our initial appointment we also provided insurance information which was not used when this practice decided to bill us. 175 dollars (albeit deeply discounted incorrectly with a “uninsured” tag) for one minute and an incorrect diagnosis to boot! Absolutely shocking and disgusting. Please do
