I have been a patient of Dr Sunder for 11 years and can't imagine anyone else being my cardiologist. She is very thorough and cares very much about doing the absolute best for her customers. If I could give her 6 stars I would.

Make her slow down and explain things!
I was seen by Dr. Sunder following an ER visit after a heart-related event. Went to Memorial Hermann because it was closer than Methodist, so saw her rather than my own cardiologist. I am sure she is a good physician, but has poor bedside manner with new hospital admissions who aren't her existing patients (probably because she knew I already had a cardiologist in the Texas Medical Center and would not continue as her patient). She spoke VERY fast and did NOT want to slow down for questions or explain anything. She left the hospital room and I had little information about condition, test results, or explanations of medicines she was prescribing. Pray for a different cardiologist, or if you have one be sure the EMTs take you to that doctor's hospital soi you are seen by someone who knows you! Don't waste your time on Dr. Sunder unless you have no choice!

She does not care about her attitude
Office staff was very nice but, when they took me in for a echo test. The technician not introducing her self says you cannot read my name on my jacket.I said i dont have my glasses on as i took them off and my sweater for the echo test. Then she asks me why did the primary care not do a cholestrol test. I am like am just the patient. If the primary care knows i need a complete blood panel to treat the symptoms ask the refering primary care. Then i mentioned my my calcium scoring was excellent two years ago. Here i am in severe pain trying to get clearrence for major back surgery. And she wants to attack her patient with her demenor.I was like what just happend here , the Dr did not introduce her self and then she wants to create a hostile situation, instead of apologizing for not introducing herself. No bedside manners, she spoke in a very condescending manner .Because you are a doctor does not give you the right to talk down to your patient.

Bad Experience
TERRIBLE !!! I had to wait 2 hours to see her. She prioritizes patient notes input over seeing patients who are waiting. She does NOT want to answer any questions or explain anything. Don't waste your time on her.

Best Doctor EVER
So seeing any doctor is scary especially when it comes to your heart. So knowing she does a full work up on you the same day is very calming, instead of making you come 5 different times she minimized the amount of visits needed, again very considerate. Staff was also very friendly, they answered my question with respect and just all around nice people. I cant speak for everyone but the medicine I am now on makes me feel so much better; i look forward to years long care and bettering my overall health with her and her staff. The wait time was not that big of an issue... I have to wait at any doctors office I have ever gone too, so no surprise their.

Worst doctor I have ever experienced
I wanted to get a cardiac check up. First visit I ended up having 3 different tests and was put on 2 different medications. Still not exactly sure why the medication. Then we scheduled a nuclear stress test. Day of the test I told her that my iron was very low (20 or less) but thats not even mentioned in the notes. I do the test and was scheduled to come back to get the results. Notified work I would be out for the visit. A few hours before the test I did get a text telling me I needed 2 more tests and my visit was cancelled. I had already informed them that I dont have that much time since I was going to be out of country but I guess that didnt matter to them. One of the test was for hyper cholesterol, something isnt true. At that point I was done with her. It felt like I wasnt a patient but a way to bilk my insurance company. Also, the day of the stress test it was five of us that had to wait since she wasnt even in the office. I took my records to someone else.

So disappointed
After reading the reviews I was confident I had found an excellent cardiologist, but after a first visit I waited 30 days for a scheduled stress test. The office never called to confirm the appointment nor give instructions so I reached out to them less than 24 hours before the test. The insurance had not yet approved it and no one saw fit to even let me know. A month of waiting, and not one call to let me know it wasn't going to happen. If you are bothered by that lack of communication and professionalism, you should find somewhere else to go. I hope they do better in the future for their patients' sake.

Have seen Dr. Sunder for many years, have referred family and friends. I feel completely confident that her advice and continued treatment provide the best possible heart health for me. She explains things very well, has told me how my situation will progress, and has always been right. She takes all time necessary. Her staff is responsive and engaged. Would very much hate to ever have to change cardiologists.

Dr. Sunder is an excellent cardiologist that I would highly recommend. She takes the time to communicate and listen to help you understand complicated health issues. Her staff is also very helpful in getting you what you need whatever the request. I have full trust and confidence in her medical knowledge and expertise. This is my first trip to the cardiologist and know that I am in good hands for years to come.

Dr. Sunder is a one doctor office which is wonderful because you get such good attention and there are no mix ups due to a huge staff working for many doctors. Her new very nice receptionist takes your questions and you get called back the same day! (That did not happen with her old receptionist or at other heart doctor's offices I tried.) If you have an urgent need Dr. Sunder will stay late in her office to see you. My husband is also one of her patients and in this time of Covid she lets him come in with me so he can help my old brain remember what she says. (We are all masked of course!) Her wating room is very clean with space to keep people at proper distance. Her treatment is helping my heart a lot so I am very glad that my excellent Internal medicine doctor recommended her to me.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sunder for several years. She helped me with the Cardiomyopathy and quitting smoking. She is one of the few doctors that will spend the time and listen to what you have to say. So if your waiting in the waiting room just chill. It’s not a production line with her.
