Dr. Larina Gutenberg, DO

I have been a patient of Dr Gutenberg for about 15 years and have followed her practice from three locations....that's how much I trust her pain management skills. She does not sugar coat and as mentioned above, Dr Gutenberg is straight forward. She has managed my chronic low back pain for 15 years and now my new neck pain. I'm in my senior years and will continue to see Gutenberg as long as I can. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would. Her front office check in person is nice and customer friendly. Also a shout out to Juan, the senior med tech who provides outstanding support to customers.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gutenberg for over 15 years. My first visit with her was shortly after my son was born. I have several chronic conditions, including spinal conditions and post surgery problems. I was wanting to stop taking all medications prescribed by my rheumatologist and remember sitting in her office crying because I couldn't take care of my son the way I felt I needed to. Dr. Gutenberg straightened me out quickly and pointed out that my quality of life would be the only way I could be active with my son. She assured me the medications I was taking from my rheumatologist were legitimate and non-habit forming. She really "knocked" some sense into me. She has always been straight forward and super caring. I love my visits with her, it's like catching up with an old friend. I cannot recommend her enough! She also thinks outside the box to ensure you are receiving the best treatment possible. If you have pain, see Dr. Gutenberg IMMEDIATELY!! Thank you Dr. Gutenberg!

I have been seeing Dr Gutenberg for a few years now. Her treatments are comprehensive and I find her staff friendly and responsive. They call and send emails. I feel bad that I am the one slow to respond as I don’t usually hear the phone or read the emails because of my condition. Dr Gutenberg treats the problem and not the symptoms. I first went to her because she is a DO. I have stayed with her because she is very thorough. I have several areas on the spine that makes every day living difficult. Since she has started radio frequency ablation, I finally have relief, at least for a time before I have to have additional treatments. I never knew nerves grow back. Unfortunately she moved locations and now I have to drive 35 miles to see her. I wish she would open a clinic on the northeast side of town.

Dr. Gutenberg is great. It is her office staff that hurts her. They don't answer the phone. If it is answered you are sent to an answering machine that doesn't work. This is over and over again until I found a new doctor. Also, once I was kept waiting for over an hour in the waiting room. I asked how much longer it would be and the whole place turned against me. The PA was short with me and her nurse told me they "were very busy" in a not so nice way.

Was referred to her by my rheumatologist, but her phone was not picked up after three tries. I see in reviews that others have had same experience. Giving up!

Dr. Gutenburg is straightforwardness I liked. She understands what you are saying and does not sugar coat it.

DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to Dr. Gutenburg asking for help stepping down on my pain medication. The first time she wrote a script for me, she knocked me down to 1/4 of my current medication. I was unable to stick to this and ran out of my medication early. I went back to try to explain why and all she would say is “I CANNOT SEE YOU ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO CONTROL WITH YOUR MEDS“!!! I tried and tried to get her to listen to me or my husband but she would not listen to ANYTHING!! I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND DOCTOR GUTENBURG IF YOU WANT A DOCTOR THAT ACTUALLY CARES AT ALL ABOUT HER PATIENTS!! I HAVE NEVER IN THE 10+ YEARS OF DEALING WITH occipital, trigeminal, orbital and temporal neuralgia HAVE I MET A MORE COLD HEARTED WOMAN IN MY LIFE!!! SHE HAS ZERO COMPASSION FOR ANYONE!! SHE IS OBVIOUSLY IN MEDICINE FOR THE MONEY AND DEFINITELY NOT THE PATIENTS!!

I have seen Dr. Gutenberg 3 times on recommendations from my spouse. I have been spoken to respectfully, intelligently, and courteously during all visits; and I have been medically guided and advised without condescension nor superiority. Dr. Gutenberg seemed thorough when collecting information from me, when examining me, and when providing treatment or suggesting changes to previous treatments. After following her advice and her treatment plan for three months, I believe I can report some changes for the better in my chronic conditions. However, I am not nor should I expect a cure since my conditions are results of injuries sustained under unusual circumstances

I've had multiple serious injuries and illnesses that has left me disabled and in severe chronic pain. Dr. Guttenberg has helped me tremendously with my pain management and given me a better quality of life. The staff is excellent very professional and courteous. A straightforward person and truly cares for all her patients.

Can not get the office to answer the phones to schedule or cancel appointments. who the hell wants to leave a message?????

After over 23 years of military service and many visits to both neurosurgeons and pain management physicians, I have been blessed to receive a referral and ongoing treatment from Dr. Larina Gutenberg. She and her staff are without question the most patient oriented and professional health care providers that I have ever been associated with. As a patient for several years, they have always taken the most conservative approach to diagnosing and treating my multiple levels of spinal injuries.

Dr. Gutenberg is a wonderful caring doctor as soon as I made an appointment for my mother her staff was able to get her in asap and when she saw my mom she saw how painful mom was in and she did everything possible. She is an amazing doctor I just wish we could have stayed in San Antonio, Texas, so she can be our doctor. Whoever get Dr. Gutenberg hang on to her!!!

I have seen Dr. Gutenberg for several years. She has always been compassionate, courteous and professional. She makes you feel comfortable and spends the time to explain what I need.

She is heartless, has no compassion, and leaves her patients in severe withdrawal, for not being able to read the urine test to prescribe anything that could help ... Extreme lack of empathy Inhuman and crual

I have been a patient of Dr G's for almost 7 years now. I came to her because I was suffering with chronic, debilitating migraines. I have never 'trusted' a doctor more than I trust her. She is so warm and friendly and her bedside manner is unmatched! I trust her with my life. I love her very much for all the patience and treatment she has given. Kudos to the entire staff as well. I can't imagine life without Dr G and her staff!!

I had been living on the floor in pain and with one visit to Dr. G, I got my life back. Every time I see her I can tell she actually cares about my well being. I can't thank her enough.

I Love Doc Gutenberg. I cant say enough about her. She is a Pro at what she does but it hasnt gone to her head. She has never acted like she is too busy to talk to me. She is warm and compassionate. She is truely in the right profession. It seems that she only hires like minded staff. Her staff work like a well maintained machine and are just as caring. Shes treated me for years. I drive from Oklahoma for her care. No other will do.

I have been a pt of Dr Gutenberg for 5 yrs now. I have worked in the medical field for over 25 years and have not seen a more professional, caring, doctor.
