I have been a patient of Dr. Akright for over 30 yrs. The Office Staff is the rudest you will every deal with. Very nasty, unhelpful and down right rude. I have been attempting to acquire access to Dr Akright and my medical records, none have been successful. The office staff simple refused to provide MY medical records. They have been contacted by the VA and myself MULTIPLE times. Any access to Dr Akright or medical records is simple refused by the office. The unprofessional, uncaring attitude of this office is very obvious. The office person informed me that they DO NOT keep patient medical records! At ALL and informed me that NO one, not even the Veterans Administration kept medical records more that a couple months. Any attempt to gain medical consult is refused. I would NOT recommend this Office or Dr Akright or any of the other DR, PA's at with this group. Once they get your money, they will ignore you completely.

I have been a patient of Dr. Akright's for many years. I had come to her as a recommendation from another of her patients. My last Endocrinologist (Harry Lin Uy) did not listen to me, did not run tests I asked of him to run, which are standard at Dr Akright's office. I had previously put on over 20 pounds in a year. I was tired all the tim, had depression, etc. Dr Akright discovered I had hypothyroidism, severe b12 deficiency, also vitamin D deficiency. She fixed my levels and I felt like a million dollars. She takes her time with you, listens to your concerns and seems to genuinely care about your well being. I'm sad she will be retiring in a couple years. Will really miss her.

I really, really like Dr. Akright. She doesn't speak down to me and engages me in my own diagnoses. The office personnel are friendly and helpful. I've been going there for about five years now and wouldn't consider going to a different doctor. I don't like most doctors so it says a lot that I like Dr. Akright.

This was probably my worst experience ever with a provider. Super long wait times both in the waiting room and in the exam room. Doctor seems overwhelmed and befuddled. Beware the bait and switch: After you see this doctor as a new patient, you will be assigned to a "diabetes educator" aka your new "doctor" until the "real" doctor decides to see you again. The person who was assigned to me was rude, condescending, and belittling about my condition. I will not be going back. You have been warned.

I don't understand why this doctor is listed as "accepting new patients" on the Humana website. I hand delivered my medical records and then faxed in the new patient packet to her office in January 2017. To date, no appointment and no contact from her office. Now they have lost the records i provided and paid for. Delma (ofc. manager), kept me on hold for 11 minutes to deliver this news. It's been 60 days and no appointment. Frightening to think what type of medical treatment they provide.

She is always truly concerned with my health and issues that I may have. She LISTENS and just does not hear what her patients have to say. I have sent at least three patients to her because of her compassion for the patient.

I have never been to a doctor before that has listened and paid attention to everything you are saying. I tell Dr. Akright she changed my life, and not by giving me more medication, but by having me quit taking some supplements and vitamins that I do not need. She also let me know that I have Hashimoto disease for the last 22 years and she is the first one to diagnose me. And her staff is absolutely awesome, I have recommended her and will continue to do so.

Dr. Akright is the best endocrinologist/doctor I have seen in many years, she is very knowledgeable and always takes the time to talk about any problems you might be having. The whole staff is very positive and helpful, it's not often that a visit to the doctor's office is such a pleasant experience!

Wait is always over an hour. Once was nearly 2 hours Once she gets into the office for the exam, she doesn't check you out physically. She relies stricly on lab-work. I didn't care for my previous doctor but at least he felt my neck (thyroid) and my legs for circulation and swelling.
