Low key yet thorough! not a helicopter doctor
I’ve been seeing her for six years. She has guided me, a type a extreme type personality in the right way so that I can get the tests that I need wrong that changes in behavior… Help with getting specialists that are needed thorough and it’s the first person who warned me of risks of a prescription benzodiazepine given by another doctor. In theory for sleep. And she warn me about risks with the medication. I will forever be grateful. It took me four years of withdrawal, and a short circuit between my body and my brain when I flushed down the medicine… But today I feel great and myself again she stood with me every step of the way through my recovery. if the patient is someone that needs to be pushed, controlled and cajoled then find somebody else. But she’s fantastic for those of us who don’t need that pushing and pushing and prodding.

Excellent doctor even better person
All my visits go well with Dr.Gingras, she’s kind very patient and thorough when explaining things to me as in why I need a certain test or medication. Always has a care plan and always follows up. I’m so great full to be her patient and wouldn’t want to have another physician.

Dr. Gingras is incompetend and should not be trusted. She ordered blood tests and never read them or informed the patient of the results. It was a concerned doctor at the Emergence room the patient visited and taken blood tests, who informed the patient the blood tests showed great concern. Be careful of this doctor everyone...She does not care

Dr Gingras is a brilliant clinician, scientist, and dedicated professional. Being a doctor is her calling, not merely her job. She cares deeply about her patients and follows them by phone and email even when they are at home. She is simply the best.

Dr Gingras is great- I don’t have one bad thing I could say about her; but I have lots of accolades for her. She is always attentive and can suss out the important details when I ramble. Dr Gingras is on top of things and sometimes has to remind me when I forget to fill out a form or suggests a different medication I may need. She treats me like a human being and picks up on non-verbal communication. I am sure she is not paid, or praised, enough. So thank you Dr. Gringras for keeping me as healthy as I am- especially in this COVID period.

Seems to listen to me. But I will often have to say something, then reassert and reassert. It's not a matter of not trusting her decisions. I just often do not agree with her opinions, based on my own experience with my own body and the things doctors had me do with it. I didn't like her using a questionnaire for my last visit but maybe they have them do that now and it's not on her. I've had to fight for RX I have gotten for years, which work well, because she didn't see why she should give them to me. I convinced her by telling her the drugs she thought I should take did not work. Now I just take double doses of the ones she cut back because the single doses are too weak. But the worst is scheduling and contacting her. Her assistant never gets back to me. If I can't answer the call, why isn't he emailing me? It's my stated preference anyway. You CANNOT get through on the phone when you need to. Trying to reach her by email is futile too. I tried on the patient portal. Crickets.

Dr Gingras has been my doctor for the past few years, I feel very lucky to count her among my physicians. In my experience, she has been the best doctor I have come across. She is not just knowledgeable but caring and that makes her invaluable. I trust her advice. I even convinced my husband to change doctors and become one of her patients. He says he did the right move.

I had 2 so-called complete physical exams with Dr. Gingras. At neither one did I remove even shoes or socks, much less anything else. She is the opposite of thorough. Non-communicative: Refused to order tests I asked for without any explanation. UNorganized: told me in writing that my shot would be ready for me when I came to the office; when I came as scheduled 3 days later I was told that no order had ever been put in and the Doctor could not be found.

Dr. Gingras Is an exceptional doctor. She is incredibly responsive and communicative. She actually wrote me back on Thanksgiving weekend to make sure that I was OK. Not only does she understand my condition and how to treat it medically, she treats me not just as a patient but as a person with dignity. I’m so lucky that I have her as my primary care doctor. She is truly brilliant and kind.

Dr Gingras didn't even come to see me. I was seen and examined by a resident physician. He is a perfect resident. But he has to be supervised by an attending.

Dr. Gingras is a very good doctor. She showed up promptly shortly after my appointed time for a complete physical, after the nurse had taken my weight, pulse & blood pressure. She was professional, knowledgeable and attentive, would order the tests she deemed necessary but not ones I simply asked for. Also she referred me to other specialists within the network when I asked for specific referrals. Am very happy that she is my PCP.

Dr. Gingras is a lovely person, but my 1st annual exam with her was not remotely complete. I was examined in my street clothes! She didn't ask me to disrobe and no robe was provided. When i asked about it, she didn't answer but instead asked me an unrelated question. No breast exam, no manual organ check, no review of skin, no EKG, no urine taken for testing. My blood tests have come back but I haven't heard anything from her. I'm surprised that she qualifies as a Weill Cornell Physician.
