Major confusion and lack of communication!
My subsequent office visit after back surgery in 2021 consisted of Dr. Sandquist's PA telling my wife and I that based on my latest MRI my only option after having surgery in 2021 was a spinal fusion of L3-L4 and L4-L5. I was instructed to schedule a second visit, which was done, in order for Dr. Sandquist to discuss the surgical procedure. During the second appointment my wife and I initially visited with the PA who at that time came into the room in an agitated state and was very rude to my wife and I saying he didn't say anything about a spinal fusion. Dr. Sandquist came into the office and stated he proposed doing the same surgery I had in 2021 which I questioned. Because I questioned him Dr. Sandquist's office later requested I get a second opinion and since I have been bounced around from one doctor to the next all the while dealing with chronic back pain and sciatica due to two bulging discs and swollen nerve roots.

Dr. Sandquist performed a most successful spinal fusion on my husband a few years ago. When I started having back problems coupled with similar issues my general practitioner recommended Dr. Sandquist. I was at a charity luncheon a month or two ago, when exchanging pleasantries with the fellow volunteer seated next to me, I mentioned I was having back issues. He replied, " I have just the guy for you, Lee Sandquist." He also had successful surgery. Again, at the gym, I spoke about my back issues to the man seated next to me on the spin bike and he said he had surgery with Dr. Sandquist about a month ago. He was most pleased with his result and had no pain! I was fortunate to have my appointment with Dr. Sandquist on {date removed}. Much husband and I were thoroughly impressed with him. He answered all of our questions and explained my MRI in terms that were clear and completely understandable. We both arrived at the decision that I did not need surgery at the prese...

Don't ask to many guestions and you'll be fine.
I went to see Dr Sandquist for my surgery on my neck of a double fusion and a spinal cord patch and fluid drained from around my brain. From the very beginning him and his associate were arrogant and bullies from the beginning. Don't ask to many questions or tell him you know your own body. I was easily intimidated before my surgery. That didn't last after.

Do no waste your time!
Moved my appointment last minute several times. No viable rescheduling options. No follow up and extremely rude scheduling desk! There are much better doctors out there!

I have suffered with SI dysfunction for 11 yrs, which was brought on during my first pregnancy. My condition progressed to the point I could not sit nor stand for long. I could'nt sleep lying down in a bed. Dr. Sandquist performed the SI Joint Fusion surgery. He explained the procedure and recovery clearly. He was patient and has excellent bedside manners! The surgery relieved much of my pain. If you are looking for a kind, knowledgable, caring physician, i would highly recommend Dr. Sandquist.

Dr Sandquist is now with Spine and Brain in Wausau Wisconsin. He performed 2 laminectomies, removed a disc and put in 2 rods and 4 screws. I was out of the hospital in one day. He is very determined to make the right diagnosis and optimistic that he can help you. I walked with a limp and hunched over for years and I know can walk without pain and am standing straight! I would recommend him to anyone and already have. His P.A.Tyler Laber is also very qualified in his field.

Dr. Sandquist is a very knowledgeable, compassionate surgeon who did a 3 level ACDF on me. He spent a lot of time with me at each and every appointment I had with him and I'm very pleased with my surgery's outcome, and believe me I was very anxious about this surgery. I would highly recommend him for his skills and bedside manner!! His office staff answered all my many questions and were always available for me.
