Rude and condescending. Refused to explain the results of my lab work when I asked for clarification. Said I can't understand and there isn't enough time. Very arrogant and non collaborative.

Majority has it
The majority of one stars here definitely tracks... she is probably one of the worst doctors I've ever met, and I've met quite a few! Cold bedside manner, seemingly uncaring and not as knowledgeable as one would expect from a Stanford trained doctor, it's a wonder this practice remains

Very bad experience with doc and the lab worker.
Doctor is not friendly , wasted time to see her twice , got no diagnosis and medication. The lab female technician is not professional, got attitude problems and failed to draw the blood. We decide to change Doctor after this visit.

Cont. From last review... got cut off! So realizing she doesn't look throughly at my bloodwork work, I confronted her about not notifying me that my Kidneys weren't functioning correctly. I went in for surgery in January and was told I was in stage 3a kidney disease. Now come on Dr. That is something your patient should know. So when confronting her she got all bent out of shape. She requested I do more bloodwork and again same issue not one call or anything to validate my kidney functions. I FIRED her and got me a new Dr. She's lucky I don't sue her for Negligence!!! Just because one graduated from Stanford doesn't mean a damn thing about there ability of being a good doctor! Some just worry about their paycheck which Dr. LILY KAO makes herself look like one of those Drs. Pretty sad if you ask me. My health, my life and she didn't care at all!!!

The front desk do not know any think about patient privacy rules and I highly recommend the doctor to send her staff to pass medical ethics course and HIPPA compliance. I called the office to make an appointment and the help desk, John, put me on pressure to tell him what my issue is otherwise he is not gane make an appointment. I told him it is against the patient privacy and I do not want to share my health privacy with front desk. But, he loudly keep telling me that he will deny my request for appointment if I do not tell him the reason of my visit. I told him that I do not know what my problem is exactly and my primary doc send me for further investigation. But John told me he can't make appointment till I tell him what is my disease!!! I am wondering who put him as supervisor of front desk for taking care of the appointments. He does not know what patient privacy is and he does not know what is value-based performance. Also, he does not know that he can't deny to accept a patient

My hand was swollen and pained. It was difficult to perform my daily activities. I took some pain medicines. The pain was relieved but the swelling was still there. I felt very depressed. I came to see Dr. Lily . After examined and ultrasound, she gave me a shot and a new medication. The swelling and the pain were subsided. I felt a lot better. Deep in my heart , I would like to thank Dr. Lily for taking very good care of me. She has made a significant positive impact on my life.

Terrible, cold, and arrogant MD. She forms her complete opinion on blood work and not any patient symptoms, other signs, or anything another MD says. Spends 3 minutes in appointment and rushes to next appointment and is unable to get the full picture. Staff are unable to speak English and write...medical assistant asked me to spell Tylenol and Ibuprofen.

Rude, pretentious, arrogant, and cold-hearted to her patients... Worst doctor of any profession I have met in my lifetime. I was a first time patient and she badgered me with questions and ridicule me when i couldn't answer what medications i ate for the last 20 years. Lady, i'm not a doctor and no one would remember every single medication and their names for the last 20 years. Not only that, looks like she just wanted to end our session and leave. Won't be coming back ever...

I've been a patient with this doctor for 2 years and I didn't see and improvements. All i'm seeing are more problems and this doctor thinks I have no new problems occurring. She needs to reevaluate her examinations more clearly and understand her patient's sickness because the things she is doing are for doctors that are inexperienced with their work. She probably need to take her clinical practice again.

Dr. Kao is very friendly & warm. I feel very safe with her, & much more comfortable with her than I felt with my previous rheumatologist. Regarding other reviews: Yes, she does always seem in a bit of a rush, but if you have questions she's happily wait & discuss with you. Regarding the tests, when you're treated for autoimmune disease(s), you have to get tested every few months. In fact my previous doctor had me test every two months. With her, it's every three months, so I get tested less.
