My partner and I had new patient appointments, primary concern being his back pain. The doctor pushed for some extra testing ("You don't have any allergies? We still recommend this allergy test for everyone"), I asked if it would cost more and she dismissively said “it’s covered by insurance”. We unwittingly incurred a deductible of $1316 on two allergy tests and a sleep test we didn't need. We were billed for three EKGs, when only one had been done. We did the sleep test for one night instead of two because the kit they gave us was incomplete, but we were billed for two nights regardless. I had to call the billing department to correct these issues. We both did the same blood work, but my partner's came back with missing entries, e.g. the A1C and cholesterol levels were absent. Their "referral" for us to get an X-ray elsewhere didn't work. These issues arose in just two visits with Columbus Medical Arts, and then we obviously changed providers.
