Dr. Louthzinhiser and Kaitlyn Honnick were excellent. I was having issues with pain shooting down my left leg and their team at Panorama Orthopedics identified the issue and took the right steps to mitigate the problem. Both surgeries very successful. This was back surgery number 4 and 5 for me. Dr. Loutzenhiser approach to my issues also relieved leg numbness from surgery #3 that he did not perform. He and his team did a wonderful job. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend Dr. Loutzenhiser.

I was given the best treatment I have ever experienced. Dr Loutzenheiser is the best. My sciatica pain was intolerable. Dr Loutzenheiser and his staff had my surgery approved and completed in six days. I went from not being able to walk and in unbearable pain to being able to move and live in no pain at all. Dr. Loutzenhiser is an excellent surgeon and a knowledgeable professional. He took plenty of time with me at each visit and answered all my questions. I had spinal fusion surgery C3-T-2 in March 2024 and it went fantastic. My pain was gone when I awoke from surgery and it hasn’t returned. Dr. Loutzenhiser and his staff are smart and patient. They get an A plus from me.

Dr. Loutzenhiser is a great Doctor who will explain everything from start to finish including the pros and cons of back surgery. He and his staff are professional and very communicative. I truly feel that Dr. Loutzenhiser is the best spine doctor in Colorado.

He didn’t answer questions he just shrugged. He was an hour and 10 minutes late and spent 5 minutes with me. he did not do a physical exam as documented. He did not agree with the care received by his team members. I left feeling I could not trust the care by the office as a whole.

Incredibly knowledgeable about his practice. Will not pressure to have surgery if not needed and very straightforward if surgery is necessary. I felt completely at ease with everything we talked about.

I was having severe nerve pain down both legs. It felt like my calves were on fire. After seeing other physicians and after having multiple MRI's Dr. Loutzenhiser was able to determine that I had an unstable L5/S1 joint that putting pressure on my nerves. His recommendation was to fuse the joint through surgery. Dr. Loutzenhiser explicitly explained my options along with his recommendations. He was extremely professional and most important....he was extremely caring of the emotional aspect of my concerns. Had a follow up appointment 2.5 years after last surgery

Even though Dr Loutzenhiser saw me at the end of a long day, he took time to answer my questions and explain my situation. I found him warm and friendly.

After consulting several spine surgeons regarding my back pain a colleague suggested an appointment with Dr. Loutzenhiser. My wife and I had an excellent visit with him. After a focused exam and review of X-rays, MRIs and symptoms the proposed surgery and recovery were explained in detail. It was an unhurried visit and we had the opportunity to ask many questions. I felt very secure in his care and elected to proceed. My surgical experience at Ortho Colorado Hospital was exceptional. The nurses were experienced, answered our many questions and appeared to really enjoy their jobs. Someone was always available if I needed care day or night. Dr. Loutzenhiser’s team of physician’s assistants, hospitalists and anesthesiologists were excellent. I felt very cared for during my hospital stay. I recovered well at home and interfaced daily with Dr. Loutzenhiser and his team via internet. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Loutzenhiser and Ortho Colorado Hospital without reservation.

When the pain from my spondylolisthesis started worsening rapidly and nothing I tried (chiropractor, PT, brace, cortisol injections) was helping for longer than few hours or days, I started "shopping" for a spinal surgeon. I've seen 2 excellent surgeons but remained unconvinced and I didn't look forward to having surgery on my spine (scary!). After speaking with Dr. Loutzenhiser I quickly decided to go ahead with the surgery. Nobody before showed me how much my L5-S1 moves by comparing angles seen on MRI (laying down) and X-rays (standing). That was an eye opener. Also, I learned that there is no spinal cord in this area. Really? That's a huge relief! Dr. Loutzenhiser is kind and very approachable. He always asks if I have any questions/concerns and explains everything clearly. The surgery went well and 7 days after I did not need any pain pills. No more pain! Now, 6 months after, I am so glad I let Dr. Loutzenhiser fix my spine! I could not have wished for a better spine surgeon!
