Kuklo, MD, JD, brings more than 25 years of medical expertise in his role as a principal spine surgeon and Co-Director at the Denver International Spine Center at Presbyterian / St. Luke's Medical Center. Dr. Kuklo graduated with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point before graduating with honors from the U.S. Army Ranger School and serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. He eventually retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Medical Corps after more than 20 years of service.He received his medical doctorate at the University of Connecticut before completing a transitional internship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After his medical internship, Dr. Kuklo earned his law degree at Georgetown University Law Center while serving as a general practitioner at the Pentagon. Turning his attention back to medicine, he returned to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. for a residency in orthopedic surgery. He chose afterward to complete a fellowship in pediatric and adult spine surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. After his fellowship, Dr. Kuklo served as residency director of Orthopedic Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and then faculty at Washington University in St. Louis before joining a Denver-based spine surgery practice where he served as a spine surgeon specializing in diverse spinal conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.Dr. Kuklo is a specialist in complex spine problems and is an expert in the use of minimally invasive surgery techniques to return his patients to a healthy life. He is an expert in degenerative spine disorders including complex scoliosis deformities and revision failed spine surgery. His range of spine surgery and research includes a focus on soldiers and athletes, degenerative spinal conditions, spine tumors and infections, and trauma. Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Woosik Chung, MD, is a board-certified surgeon in spine and orthopedic surgery. His surgical interests involve the treatment of advanced degenerative spine as well as complex scoliosis deformity with a special focus in the disorders of the neck. Dr. Chung received a degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University before completing his doctorate at UMDNJ - The New Jersey Medical School. He pursued his passion for orthopaedic surgery at Columbia University where he found a desire to better understand the world of spine surgery.Dr. Chung went on to Emory University's Spine Center in Atlanta to complete a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery. After his fellowship, Dr. Chung moved to Denver to further pursue his passion and expertise in spine surgery. He has served as the Spine Medical Director at Porter Adventist Hospital, and now he serves as the Spine Medical Director at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in developing a unique comprehensive interdisciplinary spine center.He is a renowned expert in degenerative spine disorders including complex scoliosis deformities with a special focus on disorders of the neck and cervical spine as well as revision failed spine surgery. His range of spine surgery experience extends to the management of spinal disorders in athletes, degenerative arthritic spines, spinal tumors, spinal infections, and trauma. Care Philosophy: Dr. Janssen is Board Certified in both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. He attended the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. His internship and residency were completed at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed a spine fellowship both at Lakewood Orthopaedic Clinic and in St.Gallen, Switzerland. Dr. Janssen is a clinical associate professor at the University of Colorado. He enjoys research, national and international lecturing, and teaching as well as keeping up with current trends in the care of patients with spinal disorders. His hobbies include: snow skiing, snowmobiling, water skiing, motorcycles, scuba diving, fly fishing and boating.

Care Philosophy: Dr. York understands that no two patients are the same, which is why he firmly believes in a team mentality when it comes to a patient's spine condition. "Your specific goals and expectations are important and I believe that nonsurgical options in the treatment of neck or back pain are important and effective. However, when it comes to surgery, I enjoy discussing the surgical options including traditional and minimally invasive methods depending on individualized factors. My desire is for my patients to be actively involved in their spine health and to work closely in achieving their goals."

Biography: Dr. Anant Kumar, MD is a Spine Surgeon who practices in Littleton, CO. He is 66 years old and has been practicing for 44 years. Dr. Anant Kumar, MD is affiliated with HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's.

Biography: Michael Schweid, PA is a physician assistant at the Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic in Lone Tree Colorado. Michael graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2006 with a major in Physician Assistant studies. After graduation, he lived and worked in Boston for two years in spine surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center performing both surgical & clinical duties. Since moving to Colorado from Boston in 2009, Mike has been first assistant for over 2500 surgical cases. He has a passion for running and has completed numerous races including Boston Marathon and Indian Creek 50 miler. He is married with two daughters.

Care Philosophy: Emily's love of caring for patients stems from her personal experience growing up working in medicine since the age of 18. It also stems from her family history, as she grew up with a cardiothoracic surgeon as a father and a NICU nurse as a mother. She strives to always treat patients like family, and to treat patients as a whole, regardless of their spinal pathology.

Care Philosophy: I enjoy working with patients to diagnose sources of pain and develop a treatment plan to help maximize their reduction in pain levels and improve their function through a multimodal approach. I understand the importance of individualized treatment plans and take time to discuss each patient's specific needs. I work in tandem with the spine surgeons at Denver International Spine Center and can set up surgical evaluations when appropriate.
