Untethered
Went to him 2 years ago. Told him repeatedly blood was on outside, but he labeled it postmenopausal bleeding and pushed surgery. I ended up crying because he didn't listen. Got a 2nd opinion in a town 3 hours away. Immediately diagnosed me with LS. I learned it could be 5 years to get diagnosed, so I was not upset about it at all. Come back to Dr Taylor and he freaks out. 'You are saying I couldn't diagnose something as simple as LS!' No, that is not what he said. He can only talk about how I am attacking him. I am flummoxed. I leave and I think that if it was so easy to diagnose, why didn't he? He didn't listen when I first went to him, and flipped out the next. It made me wonder if he just wanted to push surgical procedures. Why the heck would he have gotten so upset otherwise?

Awful Doctor
He was very condescending. He did not do a full wellness exam. He treated me like I was an object and barely touched me (which is why he did not do a full exam). He refused to listen to the issues I was having. He told me he would only do a full hysterectomy even though one was not needed and he had never done any tests (I was barely 40 years old). I begged for him to look at scans that were at least a year old showing a growth on my reproductive system. He would not do any workups...just said 'it's old and needs to come out (referring to my uterus); you don't need it any more'. He said a few other choice words. He would only do a full hysterectomy!I ended up going back and seeing Dr. Malek who did a full exam & workup - ultrasound, blood panel, etc. I had a massive growth. They scheduled me for surgery. The growth was the same size as my uterus!!! She was able to remove growth & uterus only so that I would not go into menopause in my early 40's.

This Dr. listens to patients
Dr. Taylor listened to me. He didn’t rush, he reviewed my records, agreed that the procedure I came for was appropriate, didn’t recommend lots of unnecessary new duplicate tests, and was very personable. He is a man of his word. He said he could do the procedure laparoscopically and made sure it was successful. My recovery time was cut in half because of his hard work. I’d been to another Dr. before him who refused to even try to get pre authorization for a hysterectomy stating it was a “70,000$ surgery that insurance wouldn’t approve because I didn’t have cancer.” Dr. Taylor got approval in under a month and stated the ablation procedure the other Dr. recommended can actually mask cancer.I don’t want cancer, nor do I want anymore laparoscopic procedures in a year or two because I had a Dr. that was too lazy to get insurance approval. Thank you Dr. Taylor for listening to me and helping me. We need more Dr.s like you!!!

Great doctor.
Dr Taylor diagnosed my endometriosis after suffering from heavy irregular bleeding since i was 15. He provided me with options and it was decided to do a laparoscopy. He started me on the birth control to help control it and when i felt it was not working we worked on changing it. The only down side is he tried to push an IUD which i refuse to use. Also he is very quick sometimes and does not take the time to explain stuff and will say it is nothing to worry about. Other than those 2 things i love him as a provider.

Great experience. Dr Taylor was very kind, I knew that he had to leave for an emergency in the hospital but he still gave me time and I felt heard and understood.

I was referred from my PCP & Went to see Dr. Lorne Taylor regarding PCOS and was told to lose weight and start taking Metformin and Spironolactone. He didn’t ask me many questions regarding anything besides my weight, didn’t tell me dosages of what he was starting me on and when leaving the room, left the door open, went to his office and raised his voice and said, “you’re done” No paperwork, no labs ordered and no plan of action. He said, what is your pcp not doing regarding your weight? Very disappointing from a patient who has been waiting for this appointment and has dealt with PCOS for over 20 years just to be told that losing weight is the answer. Bedside manner is terrible and I left emotional and brushed off.

I was Dr Taylor's last patient for the day. He was in a rush to get home and because it the front desk staff awhile to check me in, he was rather impatient, shall we say. I am a 34 yr old woman with complex health issues aka mental and physical disabilities; on top of which, I am a survivor of being horrifically sexually assaulted. I made all of this known to staff. Still, Dr Taylor treated me with a rushed indifference to if I was physically/mentally okay. Without telling me what was going to happen, Dr Taylor caused me immense pain during a displaced IUD. The pain was overwhelming to tears, and I asked if I was supposed to be in this much pain as I began to cry. His response was that "it's out now, you're fine," which he repeatedly several times in a rushed, irritated manner, which made me cry harder. He left the room and then the office before finishing my exam because he "just couldn't wait any longer" - that is, he didn't wait until I recovered from his treatment

I found Dr. Taylor to be very concerned, understanding, and he always explained things in a way that I could understand. I underwent major surgery and he and his staff were always concerned and helpful even when I needed a work-in appointment. He's a pretty down to earth guy with a sharp sense of humor, he had me laughing even though I felt terrible. My husband liked him and he is not a doctor person :) I would highly recommend Dr. Taylor.
