Dr F is very considerate and friendly. Makes a patient feel comfortable and lets them participate in their treatment decisions. Gives all the time a patient wants and needs

Usually if you need to see your doctor, you already feel not the best and perhaps feeling vulnerable. Dr Fernandez listens with compassion, asks specific questions, and discusses his thoughts with you during your visit. He helps you work with him to help you heal. At the least you always feel more optimistic and in good hands. And he is very open about answering your questions even if they seem silly! He was the first doctor I saw when I discovered I had breast cancer- he took charge and made me feel supported by setting up surgery and biopsy concerns. We are lucky he is here.

Dr. Fernandez utilizes sufficient time to explain conditions and treatment options and does not appear to let any time pressure affect the thoroughness of his explanations. When I recently needed to refill a prescription, his team (nurse) worked diligently with the insurance company to ensure the medications, which were backordered at the prescribed dose, were delivered right away at the dosage that was available.

Our personal preferences do not match him. When we came in to try to figure out heart pains my husband's been having, he said it was unlikely to be anything serious because he is "fit," and not "obese." He did an ekg, and prescribed anti-acids and stress controllers - despite the fact we told him its not that. We recently learned his fam has a gene that effects the upper-left ventricle of the heart. Only a sonogram will show this. NOT using Fernandez, who prescribed meds 1st, to test for this.

I can't say enough good about Dr Fernandez and his nurse. I trust them with my life.
