Dr Izzy has always been fantastic. He is willing to explain everything, answer any questions, and allow my input. He made changes to my diuretics when I first came there in 2023 that have helped me immensely and I've always been so impressed with his care and manner. Vanderbilt provides great care and Dr Izzy is the epitome of such a fine institution.

Dr. Izzy is one of the most warm, caring and professional physicians I have been treated by-ever. He explained all of my options with clear prognostic estimations and outlined my plan of care while taking into consideration my questions and personal preferences. His application of evidence based care is phenomenal.

In My Top Worst 3 Medical Experiences
I’m going to preface this post with the fact I am a medical school student so slightly more into my healthcare than your average patient. I admittedly do have high standards for my care and Vanderbilt met none of these standards over 5 provider visits spanning a year and a half. I saw Dr Izzy on 3/25/21 for a suspected liver disease. Not only did he seem to disregard most of my symptoms and labs but misdiagnosed me despite me handing him the correct diagnosis (with labs, support, etc) and simply asking for treatment. Immediately after I went to see a hepatologist at Erlanger in Chattanooga and was diagnosed and treated after the first appointment. Even more so, I have seen 5 providers now at Vanderbilt and I would not recommend them or the hospital in general. Every single one of my experiences at Vanderbilt medical has been the top 5 worst medical experiences I have had in all categories ranging from scheduling to billing to the actual providers themselves.
