Excellent Care
Dr. Gupta was one of the most charming, if not THE most charming doctor I have ever met!! He was so warm and he provided me with so much information about my issue. Let me ask questions and answered them completely. I hope I never have this issue again, but if i do, I will certainly contact Dr. Gupta. He is fantastic.

I Do Not Recommend
I can't recommend Dr. Gupta or Mt. Sinai urology even though I received good medical treatment from the nursing staff. If you go be prepared for:1. Extremely long waits. In my experience over 1 hour waits on hold for tele-health visits and over 2 hour waits for office visits. No one apologizes for or even acknowledges the long wait times.2. Dismissive and harried office staff.3. No doctor (md) interaction. Every doctor appointment I had was actually with a nurse. The nurse performs the patient consultation, does the examination, develops the treatment plan, and performs all followup. The nurses seem excellent but I always request and set up doctor visits which never happen. If you want to see an actual urologist (md) and be seen on schedule I recommend you go elsewhere.

Dr. Gupta got my "big stone" referral after a visit to another doctor who didn't do the procedure. His referral generated a phone call from Dr. Gupta to make sure my day was productive and we scheduled a visit and surgery. He is personable, obviously extremely experienced and educated and a good communicator who is surrounded by the highest quality assistants, nurses and team in general. Everyone always likes to brag the have the "best guy" but when it comes to kidney stones this is the best guy or at the table with them. If you can get to see him you are in the highest echelon of care in the country.

Dr. Gupta is absolutely the BEST urologist. I am very thankful that he saved my kidney. I had a huge staghorn kidney stone in addition to several big stones, blocking my kidney function. Few urologists I consulted reached a quite pessimistic diagnostic, suggesting multiple operations. A friend of mine recommended me to see Dr. Gupta, probably the best advice I received in my life. Amazingly, in one painless operation he cleared all my stones and saved my kidney. Thank you Dr. Gupta.

My experience with Dr. Gupta and his staff was excellent in every way. His team reflects his own attentiveness, compassion, patience and intelligence, beginning with the office reception and continuing throughout the hospital experience. I don't wish kidney stones on anyone, but if that is your lot, this is the man who will help you. Highest recommendation from a grateful patient.

Dr. Gupta and his team went above and beyond what I expected from any doctor's office. The surgery was scheduled quickly and before I even knew it, I woke up with very little pain- I would say nothing compared to what I've had before surgery. He is obviously knowledgeable from the amount of time he has spent in the field, I would call him an expert, but more than that, he is very kind, down to earth, and listens to and addresses every concern and question. The best!

I had a terrible experience at this office. No compassion at all, just a greedy money hungry doctor. He demanded cash before the consultation; I asked to be billed since I did not have $200 cash on me, and they refused to see me....after waiting over 1.5 hours in the waiting room: told me to go to the ATM in the lobby....I am am RN & my husband a surgeon--take it from someone in the field: beware of this awful doctor! I now see Dr. Ojas Shah @ NYU & he is wonderful.
