'Super Talented'
The main things that stood out to me were his 'professional' manner in all areas of my initial office visit. He took his time to answer all my questions and what the procedure would entail. He made suggestions on the type of procedure I was having and detailed what would be happening from start to finish. He was matter of fact and was not trying to up sell me on procedures I did not need. His staff were also very informative and even when I called back to ask more questions they were all reassuring and made me feel comfortable with what was happening. After the procedure I met with him twice and he has checked up on me when I have been in the office for the Lymphatic Drianage with his Massage Specialist Elizabeth Gray. We all have choices in the Charleston area; Look No Further... Dr. Hochman is Brilliant!

Unhappy after two surgeries
Wish someone had made a review like this one, before I made the costly decision to go forward with the hair transplant with Dr. Hochman. I informed Dr. Hochman that my main concern was to cover my bald spot in the back of my head. With the first surgery I said focus on the back, then the front, and last in the middle. After a year after the surgery, there was still a huge bald spot on the back of my head. Dr Hochman suggested I do a second surgery, and assured me the back would be fully covered, with no bald spot. I agreed, because like the majority getting this surgery, you don’t want to remain slightly bald, but not bald at all. After a year after the second surgery I went back in to inform Dr Hochman that there was still a bald spot, and he assured me it would be covered. His response was “Well it looks better than it did before, and he’s doing nothing more.” I told him I would make reviews to let others know about my experience. He said I was threatening him, and told me to leave.

It was shockingly substandard at best.
Suffered months of infection and scaring caused by very poor work and choice of tools for a simply procedure. The surgeon did not live up to his accolades or hype whatsoever. His work resulted in unnecessary suffering, infection, scaring and major inconvenience. An inexperienced surgeon could have handled this job. It was shockingly substandard at best. I do not recommend this surgeon whatsoever.

My experience with Dr. Hochman was marvelous! He is so talented. I went in asking for one thing and he diplomatically explained why another procedure would be better. He is a delightful person - kind, gentle, and caring - and he explained everything in great detail. I had no doubts that he wanted what was best for me and that he wanted me to be comfortable with it all. He was never rushed and extremely patient. His staff is stellar. They are all friendly, efficient, and capable! Follow up after surgery was also great. And my outcome could not have been any better. EVERYONE is complimentary and asks me who my doctor was! I could not be happier. I highly recommend Dr. Hochman. He is a fine gentleman and the finest surgeon!

Dr. Hochman and his staff made my entire experience, from my initial inquiry right up through the completed procedure, a most pleasant process. Every one I engaged with made me feel valued and unhurried. The compassion and deep concern for my wellbeing, comfort and happiness was unrivaled. I knew I was in skilled, capable hands as soon as I spoke to Dr. Hochman and viewed pictures of the many children and adults he’s helped with facial concerns throughout his career. I was walked through the entire process, and no stone was left unturned. The nurse, Kim, even called me pre and post op to check on my well-being. There were no surprises as the doctor and staff afforded me everything I needed to know to have the best experience possible. Dr. Hochman even gives his patients his private phone number and encouraged me to use it if I needed to speak to him anytime of the day or night. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I am scheduled for surgery later in January. My initial visit made me feel secure in Dr. Hochman's ability to fix my nasal airway. The office staff have been wonderful and I look forward to working with them to correct my nasal problem.

Dr. H recently removed a noticeable lipoma (lump) from my neck. He accomplished it with a minimal incision, small amount of sedatives, and virtually no pain in the days following the procedure. He and his staff were very comforting. I had a Dr. in NJ insist that I go under general anesthesia for this same procedure, which somehow did not seem right, so I backed out of the operation. In addition to Dr. H's skill and experience, he clearly has very good judgement. Overall great experience.

After having rhinoplasty with Dr. Hochman, I had to go in for 2 more surgeries to correct things that were not done properly during the first procedure. He is very easy to communicate with and his staff was great, but the extra surgeries were very expensive and caused a lot of extra pain and trouble.

Dr Hochman did a wonderful job of understanding my chronic migraine (3 1/2 years of daily pain), trying different blocks and treatments, and final a nerve decompression surgical procedure (and I had a brow and eyelid lift at the same time). I'm still healing, but 5 weeks out and NO migraines; just an occasional mild headache that dissipates. He and his staff are all tremendously helpful and supportive. His practice runs smoothly. So glad I discovered him!
