He is the BEST.
I've been a patient of Dr. de los Santos since November 2016 and credit him and other doctors, in San Antonio at that time, for keeping me alive back them. It is now almost 2025. Kerrville is very fortunate to have him practicing here full time.

A Little Rushed Today
Dr. De Los Santos while friendly and experienced, was evidently in a rush. He spent a little less than 5 minutes with me. Fortunately I got my last question out before he opened the door.

Not thorough enough
Did not run tests to see why I was having recurrent infections, was dismissive and did not take time to ask questions or answer them.

Not A Good Experience.....
Dr. De Los Santos had obviously not bothered to read my file before the appointment. He indicated that I had been sent to him for a sleep study by my GP ...which is not correct. When I challenged him about a sleep study he became rather combative, indicating that left untreated it could lead to atrial fibrillation or a stroke. Had he read my file he would have know that I have had a stroke and have been in A Fib for 6 years. Dr. De Los Santos may be very competent, and it is possible that we simply did not have any chemistry, but I found him to be poorly prepared, combative, self righteous, and not helpful. He did recommend a spirometer test to check for amphysems or COPD which seemed very appropriate. In the end I may actually have sleep apnea, but considering other factors that have an impact such as being a 74 year old male who is over weight, a modest drinker, being treated for edema, a history of smoking, AFib and a stroke I would have appreciated a little more discussion.
What went well
  • Staff friendliness
  • Wait times
What could be improved
  • Difficult to schedule appointment
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions

Dr De Los Santos and I had a debate about the Vaccine, Covid and the "Responsibility of Americans to get the vaccine." All for a virus that has a 95+% survival rate, whose natural immunity has a better efficacy than any of the Vaxs currently being FORCED ON US, AND where in countries like Norway (where NO MASK, VAX OR CLOSURE MANDATES EXISTS) show the lowest infection and fatality rates in the free world. He didnt like this, and walked out in a huff. I too have been in the field for 40 years and I still dont know everything...but NEITHER DOES THE MEDICAL/SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY. There are clearly two narratives being peddled, and one of them is FORCED INNOCULATIONS, padded fatality/hospitalization numbers, a biased media, purposeful MISINFORMATION AND A MASS SILENCING OF THE MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY who DO NOT ADHERE TO THIS DANGEROUS AND FALSE POLITICAL NARRATIVE.. ..then there are the rest of us!
