Dr. Maria Alban, MD

Dr Alban has been treating my diabetes for several years. I have had much success with the medication that I’ve been taking. She is very personable and yet professional as well.

Dr. Alban is great. Knowledgable, patient and thorough. I have seen her for years and followed her to Gainesville.

Dr. Alban has provided excellent medical care to me. I have never felt rushed, and she always takes time to explain any issues I may have. My husband and I followed Dr. Alban from Snellville to Gainesville when she relocated. She is worth the drive and I would highly recommend her.

My appointment with Dr. Alban was great! She was professional and attentive to what I had to say. She is checking everything to try to find the root problem. I would recommend her!

Dr. Alban is personable, professional, respectful, knowledgeable, thorough, and does not rush me.

I have been seeing Dr. Alban for years. She is awesome. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and works with you to reach the best health treatment. I would recommend her as a great physician.

Absolutely HORRIBLE - I cannot believe individuals like Dr. Alban are allowed to represent the medical community in Gwinnett County. One member of her staff was even worse - having the ability to withhold information and not meet their commitments on timeframe. Also, how dare a member of the Staff call me a liar - this was done during our FIRTS conversation then the individual hung up on me. Simply didn't like being talked to the same way she was talking to me, she was very arrogant and demeaning. My advice to this individual - "if you can't handle the job, move on to the next phase of your career and don't take it out on me." Complete and utter incompetence. I am so glad we have a medical care system in this great Country that allows choice. I have been very forward and up front with Dr. Alban and Staff to let them know we would NOT be back. I would prefer my Mom have reputable heath care and that simply doesn't exist with Dr. Alban. Lastly - Amy was WONDERFUL!!!

It’s clear that Dr. Alban looks at this job as nothing more than a paycheck. Rushes you out of the room, as if she has a busy schedule, when the waiting room is completely empty. Her and her staff aren’t flexible or considerate whatsoever. I live over 30mins away and on a rainy afternoon was no more than 15mins late and they asked me to leave. Even after I said I could wait whatever amount of time since I live 30 mins away and was acknowledging I was late. Keep in mind the waiting room was again EMPTY. Never coming to this office again.

If only I could give her 0 stars. I was blindly by her deminor but when she starts talking is another story! I been seeing her for years and last year my mental health took a turn for the worst and I started to take action. First off when I asked her about my health for a baby she told me I should wait because my man will leave when it’s born. I had a conversation with her about some health issues and the way she talked to me I wanted to burst in tears (I’m over 25) Nothing but a check for her

Dr. Maria Alban is awesome! She really does take the time to explain things to her patient in a way they will understand. In addition she listens to their concerns. I recommend Dr. Alban if you're looking for a knowledgeable doctor that definitely cares about you as a person!

Dr. Alban is a very caring physician and professional. As an educated patient I have always received good advice and straightforward facts that have been helpful for me to maintain my healthy lifestyle. My questions are always answered under her care which have motivated me to be diligent in taking prescribed medicines, and following her advice to referrals when necessary. Her staff are also very helpful as needed whether making relevant appointments or refilling prescriptions. I am very happy

It was so refreshing to find a doctor who first of all took my Medicare advantage plan and secondly, was so pleasant and caring. I have already told several people about D r. Alban.

Dr. Alban and the staff of Greater Gwinnett Internal are always friendly and prepared to treat each Individual patient with care and understanding Dr. Alban takes time to explain what she has found and always answers all questions.

Dr Alban is one of the most uncaring PCP. Any time you ask questions, her answer goes to some wierd topic like depression or mental issue. Either she does not want to help, don't sympathisize with people's severe pain, or is incompetent. When I had initially called, I was under impression that Dr Zafar would be my PCP but I unfortunately got Dr Alban (she seems to have open spots while the other doc seems to be booked/busy, which speaks for itself). The office mngr is really nice.

This doctor is terrible. Refused to manage sleep apnea as my PCP even though I have always had it managed by my PCP. She then referred me to her partner's husband. Even though I was reluctant to go I did follow thru. Then she sent me a certified letter discharging me from her practice. I had only seen her 1 time prior. I only needed supplies for my COAP and she refused to take care of it.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Alban to my worst enemy. You're a number and nothing more than a revenue source. My mother-in-law has been a patient of hers for a number of years yet there is very little interest in her well being. Her arrogance is only outdone by Dr. Alban's lack of compassion.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Alban. I visited this office in order to establish a primary care physician. I was worried about intermittent neck pain and tension headaches. I described my pain to her and she said that not to worry about it, and to take pain medication daily. I saw a specialist who took x-rays of my back and neck. Turns out I have BONE SPUR that could cause PERMANENT DAMAGE TO MY SPINE. I was also told no decent doctor would ignore persistent neck pain like Dr. Alban did.
