Dr. Marisol Luna-Pizano, MD

Dr Luna-Pizano has been my doctor for a decade now. When she was first my doctor she was amazing. She cared so much and was so responsive and helpful. For years and years I followed her and knew in her hands I was safe. Well the last few years She has been promoted multiple times at Kaiser. Due to this she no longer responds to emails, calls, and getting an appt is impossible. I was cancelled two times in November and December and finally got to see her in February. I also had a physical March 2022 and she found nothing in a routine breast exam. Fast forward a year and i have aggressive BC that they were all surprised she did not catch last time. I used to get reminders about Mammos and other things. Now I get nothing or her nurse reply days later and saying if any questions call the 1800 number. Which took me 90 minutes last week. I know she is a great doctor but with each promotion she has less and less time for her patients . It actually makes me sad to move on, but

I chose to ignore bad reviews of Dr. Luna-Pizano, which was a huge mistake. At first, Dr. Luna-Pizano seemed to be a great choice for my primary doctor - my first appointment with her went well and she seemed so nice, but it was my last because she stopped replying to my messages altogether when things got too hard/complicated to figure out. When I told her I was having a terrible and dangerous reaction to some medication, she told me that "the medication should not do that" and I should wait it out. When I did wait it out and things got worse, I contacted her again. It's been months and I still have not heard a word from her, after reaching out multiple times. I'm currently in the process of switching doctors, and feel I wasted so much time with her. Dr. Luna-Pizano truly does not care about her patients' welfare.

Awful! She does not listen or give enough attention to the problem being described. One gets the sense that she just wants to rush through the appointment as quickly as possible without giving her patients the proper time and attention needed. Not only this, but she is EXTREMELY difficult to schedule an appointment with - she never seems to be all that available. I would never recommend her.

I had several medical concerns that she couldn't be bothered with. After all it was just a "check-up and she had the exam to do." She does not listen! Period. She's quick to pull out the first reason for a health concern without following up or doing tests to confirm. She prescribed Vit D without testing for deficiency that put me into Vit D overdose (you can die from that). Did nothing for the pain I was having and blew it off because she just "didn't know". 1 test was performed. ONE!

Dr. Luna-Pizano is the first doctor that I've encountered that provided a holistic approach to medical care. She asked me questions and was curious about my habits, etc. I enjoyed the care she provided and engaged me in a dialogue rather than just telling me things. I am glad I switched over to her because my past doctor treated his patient like we're robots and really didn't ask questions, etc.
