Changed my life
I cannot say enough about how terrific Dr Adelman is. I went to him several years ago as I was seeking to change my asthma medications. I was on three or four medication’s for bronchial asthmaUpon completing my evaluation, Dr Adelman told me that I did not have asthma. I merely had allergies. He suggested I discontinue my medication’s and prescribed simple saline spray and HEPA air purifiers for my home. Now that I have been off these medication’s (that were actually making me sick not to mention the cost ) I feel better than I have in years. Thanks to Dr Adelman. Whose excellent evaluation skills changed my life. Thank you, Dr Adelman. Looking for a great pulmonologist well here he is.!

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Adelman is very compassionate. His staff is top notch and extremely friendly. I was referred to him by a neighbor after I had covid and had some breathing issues. He ran tests on my lungs and was concerned about a spot he saw on my liver and immediately faxed the information to a doctor in PA that I had used in the past for liver cancer. As it turns out the cancer had returned and if it was not for Dr. Adelman I would not have known the cancer had returned. He saved my life and I am so blessed to have found him. I would highly recommend him to anyone that has pulmonary issues.

Sadly does not consider best interests of patients
My mother-in-law who is in her mid 70s and has severe CPOD just had a follow up appointment with Dr. Adelman about a nodule on her lung that is of concern. She is on a fixed income and spending unnecessarily is not an option for her. He is located in Boca and my mother-in-law lives in Delray. His practice has a location in Delray which is obviously more convenient and less of a hardship for her. Upon asking Dr. Adelman to see a doctor at the Delray office he told us he would no longer treat my mother-in-law.

Dr. Adelman is a wonderful Doctor. The staff is very rude and won’t leave a message for Dr Adelman to call me back when he’s available. I’ve had other times with the staff being unhelpful and rude. She said she will not leave a message for the Doctor. I’m still his patient because I have not seen any other Doctor in the practice. He’s a kind gentleman and Doctor. I told Mina that it’s the Doctor’s decision to call or not to call. I’ve been on the phone with her for 45 minutes. My Mom is getting worse with her pulmonary fibrosis and trying to get permission from Dr. Adelman to see another Doctor since he’s booked up until February. She can’t be seen in the early am for health reasons. Jennifer at the other Doctor’s office in the same practice is wonderful and helpful. I called Jennifer at the other office and told her what Mina said (that took an hour on the phone) and it took Jennifer 5 minutes to talk to the Dr. Gutierrez and make a sooner appointment. Jennifer is the kindest person

Dr Adelman is the only doctor who helped me after many years of visiting every kind of medical specialist. I've had a chronic cough for over four years. It interfered with every aspect of my life. Dr Adelman put me on a treatment plan that has not only vanquished my cough but gave me back my life. He is a fabulous, caring doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Adelman for 18 years to treat my Asthma and six years ago I was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer that had spread to the lining of my lung. He is an amazing, caring doctor that follows up with my Oncologist after each of his visits. I am lucky that the Cancer in my lung lining is in remission for the last five years, but he checks me thoroughly ever 3 months. He listens and he really cares. He also treats my daughter for Asthma and takes wonderful care of her.

Dr. Adelman might be a great Pulmonologist but getting to meet him/or judge if he is good is like trying to climb Mt. Everest without oxygen. His door is guarded by dragons who need a pint of blood or maybe a very large tip before you may see the "GREAT ONE'. Have tried several times with referrals, Authorization codes and since I have no virginity to offer, myfirst born son. No dice!! So, will have to defer to his Majesty and try another. A shame, actually, since I HEARD (cannot verify) he is quite good.

Dr Adelman treated my mother for over 10 years. She had terrible COPD from years of smoking. The doctor kept her in an optimal pulmonary state as she could be. Between his kind caring manner and his clinical skill, she would never have survived so long without him. He is an astute diagnostician and a nice human being.

After seeing a number of specialists, Dr Adelman was the only doctor that listened to me and not only properly diagnosed my situation, but offered advice outside of his realm of specialty. I would highly recommend Dr Adelman for every pulmonary problem.

Dr. Adelman literally saved my life. He diagnosed my lung cancer and made sure I had the best outcome from that ordeal. The staff is going through a major change, since one of his key staff is getting ready to retire. I was disappointed to see a one star review--because the person "Didn't get enough time"---it's not about time, it's about care. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in the need of a doctor--because I know they would get the best possible care, advice and support available in South Florida. I'm fortunate to have found this wonderful office. Several times his associates had to tend to me at the hospital, and they are all competent and confident.

My initial visit was amazing. Dr. Adela listened, read records and treated my lung condition accordingly. I’ve seen him twice more for follow ups within that year and after waiting over an hour each time, I literally got 2 minutes of his time. Very disappointed.

Dr. Adelman is both personable and knowledgeable about is specialty. I was suffering from chronic cough for over 5 years, and had seen five doctors who were not able to help me. I had practically given up when I decided to give one more try with a pulmonologist(Dr. Adelman). He asked me whether I would be willing try an experimental therapy. At this point, I was willing to try anything.Dr. Adelman's experimental therapy not only worked with me but is now an accepted therapy for chronic cough.
