Patient and thorough
Patient and kind mannered - I’ve seen Dr Ewald for years. Very knowledgeable and thorough. I am completely comfortable with him performing my cataract surgery.

My mother had an appointment with Dr. Ewald and the lady at the front desk could not have been more rude. My father accompanied my mother as she has trouble walking. It had not been a problem with her past two visits. I might add that both my parent are fully vaccinated and have taken the booster shot as well. My father was very rudely told he could not be in the waiting lounge to help my mother and as he was attempting to retrieve his car keys, the receptionist yelled at him, embarrassing him, telling him to get out. Of course my mother got up and left too. They have never been treated so badly. At no time were my parents informed that policy had changed and no one could wait in the lounge. And, clearly, the vaccine is not as trusted as the medical community claims it to be or there would not have been a problem with my father being there. Not impressed.

In my visits to Dr. Ewald over the past year, he has been on a narrow timeframe in the room. I enter with several super important inquiries on my vision. Yet, he answers very quickly, and I am always out of the chair and on my way less than 7 minutes per visit. No resolutions. Possibly his load of patients is heavy...yet no quality time whatsoever. The moments with him to discuss huge issues om my optical concerns are very short lived.
