Very Best ever. This is the second time Dr. Hambly operated on my back. He has the patients of a saint and explains things so a normal person can understand.

I had an on job back injury that was covered by Workman's Compensation. I was referred to Dr. Hambly by an orthopedic pain specialist after exhausting other treatment options. After viewing my MRI Dr. Hambly validated that I had a serious lower back injury that required surgery. Dr. Hambly was through in covering all the PROS and CONS of major back surgery. When physical therapy and cortisone shots failed to relive my pain we went forward with surgery. Dr. Hambly and Annette guided me through the entire process. They were always responsive in answering my questions and concerns. This all happened during the Covid19 pandemic so things were difficult and hard to control. I feel fortunate Dr. Hambly was my surgeon. He is easy to talk to and understands my working environment. I'm back to work and enjoying life once again. We have a lot in common so it was easy to communicate and develop trust. I would recommend Dr. Hambly to anyone requiring back surgery. Eric Knight 5-12-2021

He is a great surgeon and he has help me twice. Back in the 90's he performed a one level fusion on my neck and it worked! Fast forward to February 21...Dr Hambly performed a lumbar decompression and the out come was remarkable. I'm happy and pain FREE! Able to walk again with no discomfort. Dr.Hambly is without question the best in his field. Thank you Dr. Hambly for your help.

Dr. Hambly is by far one of the best providers I have had. When I had to get surgery and it could not be done due through my normal provider due to work comp insurance issues, the spine surgeon for my provider company at Kaiser called me and told me that if he was getting the same surgery as myself, Dr. Hambly would be his number one go to surgeon!
My surgery was successful and Dr. Hambly is professional and personable. I wouldn’t have ever second guessed or looked elsewhere for care. If you need surgery like I did you, you will not regret choosing him as your surgeon!

When I first visited Dr Hambly I had been in pain for years, but recently it was beyond what I could manage. After looking at my MRI he knew within moments what needed to be done. He explained what he recommended, so simply that I was comfortable with what he was proposing. Within weeks I was in the process of having my mutilated disk (L5-S1) removed and replaced with donor bone, held in place with a small plate. Now, 4 months later I am virtually pain free! I am so grateful that Dr Hambly was available and willing to take my case.

I met with Dr. Hambly regarding lower back issues. He was very upfront and straight to the point, which I prefer. He has been in his specialty for over 30 years. He was very attentive to my questions and explained my options on treatment and recovery. I received treatment and I am doing much better now, thanks to Dr. Hambly. I actually recommended family members to see him, due to his knowledge and bed side manner. I truly appreciate him taking care of me, I just hope I never have to see him in that capacity again. I highly recommend him and his staff who were always helpful throughout The whole process.

I went to Dr. Hambly for a herniated disc making me barely able to walk. He explained everything thoroughly and performed my first surgery. He did an amazing job and I’m in absolutely zero pain now.

For 3 months I had sever nerve pain because of sever stenosis at L4-L5. I tried everything including the cortisone shots that did not help at all. That was when it was determined surgery was my only option. I had a consult with Stanford Neurology and one with Dr. Hambly. Stanford suggested they fuse L4-L5. Dr Hambly ordered an additional x-ray, and felt he could perform a lower Lombard decompression instead of a fusion. It was a shorter procedure and recovery time. My nerve pain has since gone away and I started physical therapy after 3 weeks. I have gotten my life back! Thank you Dr Hambly.

Needed back surgery after all options. Fusion L4/5 lumbar.
He came highly recommended and all i can say he is the best. Back surgery is very scary at best but Dr. Hambly made it seem like a piece of cake!

I began having worsening back pain that radiated to my right butt and hip, requiring more frequent epidurals. When the pain progressed and I developed sciatica all the way down my right leg to my foot, which was very debilitating and left me sleep deprived, I knew I needed a surgical consultation. I was in so much pain and the epidurals were only lasting 8 weeks. Dr. Hambly went over my MRI with my husband and me, and explained everything in detail. I had severe spinal stenosis at L4-5, which had worsened over the years. I underwent a laminectomy and fusion by Dr. Hambly nearly 4 months ago and am so pleased and excited with my results. I had immediate relief of low back pain and sciatica. My recovery was swift and easy. It has been a life-changer for me, I am pain free and feel better than I have in years, returning to my normal activities. I would highly recommend Dr. Hambly to anyone with spinal issues and I would not hesitate to call him should I have new problems in the future.

Wife unable to walk more than 100 feet without sitting down.. Dr Hambly placed metal contraption in lower spine.. 8 hours of surgery... recovery was tough but overall results amazing.. wife able to go about daily business with any more pain and suffering... Thank you Thank you Dr Hambly

Dr. Hambly is simply wonderful. He has literally given me my life back. I met him about a year ago after receiving a huge and very scary diagnoses. He was very thorough before surgery with his exams and imagining. Explained everything going on with my back. He performed a laminectomy along with a TLIF(spinal fusion). I just returned to work(a very physical job) a few months back and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Dr. Hambly and his staff.

I have been on a worker's comp claim for way too long, and it has been pretty life altering, and scary. A lot of my personal life changed and fell apart, and it's been beyond difficult. But one thing that hasn't been a hassle has been my appointments, surgery, and talks with Dr. Hambly. He doesn't beat around the bush, he gives his honest opinion about what to do going forward, and made this entire rollercoaster I've been on much, much more bearable. He made every procedure seem exceedingly less daunting and nerve-wracking, and will talk to me about interests such as music. If I had any other doctor, this would have been a much more difficult process. Thanks for everything doc! Highly, highly, highly recommend!

Two visits: 2003, spinal fusion L4/L5 with hardware; complete return to work status in 3 months !! Again, June 2020, decompression of L2/L3; 90% of symptoms relieved !! I can now put on my socks and tie my shoe laces !!

Dr Hambly performed Lumbar disc herniation surgery for me, which provided instant relief from intense pain. I highly recommend Dr. Hambly. He is a top notch surgeon and has a great reputation among his peers, the Nurses and other hospital personnel. He provides straight forward and honest advice on what he can do, and what you can do to help yourself. Thank you Dr. Hambly, I am so grateful for your skills! His assistance Annette is the absolute best! She is very caring and responsive with getting scheduling done and all that comes with surgery. I am feeling great and intend to do exactly what he said to take care of myself. If I ever need surgery again, I wouldn't hesitate going back to Dr. Hambly.

Dr. Hambly performed L5 microdiscectomy on me after living for years with chronic sciatic pain to the point I could hardly walk. The pain relief "was instant"! A week later my sciatic pain is virtually gone! My only regret is I didn't visit Dr. Hambly years ago. "Well done" Doctor and "thank you"!
