Grateful to Dr Martino and his group
I had an ovary cyst removed by Dr Martino with robotic laparoscopy. Dr Martino was referred by my Obgyn Dr Pennant. I am so grateful for how he took care of me. I was very nervous about possible cancer, incisions, stitches, risks. I had a great experience with multiple consultations in person and over the phone, I felt heard as he addressed all of my concerns and explained what to expect. He listened and worked with my fears, thanks to his guidance I was able to have the surgery and remove a cyst of 15 years that posed a big risk, I didn’t trust other providers to care for previously. Post op was great with Nurse Hailey who was on call for all questions I had in the 1st week of post surgery. Healing went great, I’m 3 weeks out, my energy is back, I was cleared to exercise and I feel like I can live my life without fear of possible emergency ovary twist or cancer. The staff was wonderful, Ms Tammy at front desk was so lovely. Thank you Dr Martino and group for the amazing care!

Excellent physician! Highly recommend!!
I was referred to Dr. Martino by my GYN due to findings from a hysteroscopy. I was immediately put at ease and his laparoscopic robotic surgery was explained for the total hysterectomy I needed. It has been 5 days postop and the pain level is minimal. I couldn’t be more pleased with such a skilled, compassionate physician asDr. Martin Martino.

Dr. Martino is a true saint among men! The BEST!
Dr. Martino knew I was desperately in need of medical care. Excruciating pain and 2 weeks in and out of emergency rooms, being sent home after several tests and no medical determination of what was happening. Dr. Martino knew after seeing all test results and ever so kindly walking through the entire experience with me. He told my daughter to take me directly to the hospital. He performed the surgery that day using the da Vinci method and I went home the next day. In all my 73 years, I've never met a doctor as caring, thoughtful and determined to help me get to a better place! Well on my way to recovery thanks to Dr. Martino. He and his spectacular team will have a place in my heart forever!

My friend had hysterectomy on April 3, 2023. At 79 she started bleeding in November 2022. Numerous visits to another Dr and polyps removal at another hospital did not solve issue. Only put her on hormones to stop bleeding which had an adverse on her health. Finally went st Vincent's er early march. Referred her to Dr Martin as she calls him. All at ascension st Vincent's agreed hysterectomy was needed to help her! Saw her March 8 and done surgery in April. He and his staff treated both of us great. Answered all concerns since she was almost 80! And pacemaker. She done well having robotic surgery. Home nurse already said she is fine. No pain during recovery. He cares about his patience and their family/friend. Recommend him and his team to others. No more hormones for her.

Robotic Oncology Surgery
Dr Martino is an amazing doctor! He is intelligent, kind, with a great bedside manner. I was diagnosed with a cyst on my ovary that was possibly cancerous. He performed robotic surgery to remove it along with a hysterectomy. The cyst was softball sized and benign. He made 5 extremely small incisions. After surgery, I had little to no pain and was up and walking. I am still taking things slowly but am feeling great. I highly recommend Dr Martino for gynecological oncology robotic surgery. I am very happy with the results. Thanks Dr Martino!

Dr. Martino left me feeling confident that robotics would be the best course for a total hyterectomy due to endometrial cancer. Never for a moment did I experience pain or even discomfort following surgery--family and friends couldn't believe it, I am a believer in robotics and he is the BEST, THANKS!

Wow, I cannot understand the high star ratings. This Dr may be a wonderful surgeon but never called me with Pet or Cat Scan results. He was very short with me and didn’t take much time answering my questions. His bedside manner was awful. I switched physicians because I am dealing with cancer not a cold. He does not score high on my list, his online videos were what sold me but I was highly disappointed that he did not show the compassion that he portrayed in his videos.

I was denied surgery by another surgeon because of the type of surgery I needed and because I would not accept a blood transfusion. From the first appointment with Dr. Martino I knew he was the right doctor for me. My needs concerning treatment were his priority and there was never any question or pressure to accept treatment that I didn’t want. My entire surgical team was excellent and my surgery was a success. Thank you Dr. Martino for your kindness and compassion.

Caring, smart & skilled surgeon are just a few words you could use to describe Dr. Martino. It's been 8 months since he robotically removed 2 orange size dermoid cysts from my 22 year old daughter's ovaries & her latest ultra sound has proven the operation was a success! I am very happy because you have not found just ANY doctor! He is the doctor you want when you feel desperate and scared. Thanks to his surgical technique, she has little to no scars & her ovaries are fully intact!!

Dr. Martino and his team performed a difficult surgery to remove my left ovary. My other doctors were doubtful that he would be able to perform the procedure laproscopically, but he did it. I am grateful that I did not need an incision because it would have meant a longer recovery. I was able to return to work 2 1/2 weeks after surgery.

I had a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy in Nov. 2016. Dr. Martino was my surgeon. I was referred to him by a client because I was not happy with the care I was receiving in Scranton. I cannot rave about this doctor enough. The surgery was a cakewalk. The worst part was the sore throat from the tube and the catheter. The only pain I had was mildly sore stomach muscles from the little incisions. I never needed the pain meds and I was back to work 5 days later. This doc is the best!!!

Dr. Martino is a fantastic doctor! He is very passionate at what he does and he truly wants to see his patients be well. I went to Dr. Martino for a little bit of a different reason than most women do. I had a severe infection in my pelvic area that no doctor wanted to touch. All gynecologists I saw told me they would have to do a full hysterectomy at 27 years old. Dr. Martino was the only one who told me he could help me, and he did. I would recommend him to anyone with gynecological issues.

My mother has been a patient of Dr.Martino since 2009. He is the MOST patient, caring, loving doctor anyone could ask for. He takes his time to explain each and every step of treatment, sometimes going over it several times so we would understand exactly what to expect.Cancer is a scary thing for families and knowing you have the BEST fighting for you and your family makes all the difference in the world. I would recommend Dr.Martino to everyone seeking a wonderful doctor/Friend.
