She is a phenomenal human being and her depth of care and concern for her patients is amazing. As a trans person, I feel safe and she is accepting and understanding of who I am. Absolutely one of the most empathetic doctors I have had in my 50 years of chronic illness. Thorough. She is thorough in her inspection for skin cancer and her surgical skin excision are virtually pain-free. She carries so much positive energy with her, she lights up the room.

Amazing doctor, I had severe cystic and inflammatory acne for a few years and Dr. Afshar cleared it all up after I had completely given up hope. She listens to you and is so respectful and makes it clear that she's here for you long-term. I am so grateful for her.

I’ve been going to dermatologists since 1982 in different cities where I have lived. I’m very picky about my derm. I was so happy to find Dr. Afshar who listened to my 36 years of experience with my skin conditions. She was respectful and followed the treatment plans proven the best for me over many years. She is skilled and has great communication skills.

Dr.Afshar was very short with me, she did not explain the procedure, didn’t tell me what to expect when I go home. She did not properly address any questions that I had. Basically, nodded or shook her head without any explanation. No bedside manners or communication skills. Would not recommend.
