Follow-up review
This is a follow-up to my previous review on April 5, 2021. Several weeks ago, my current dermatologist performed surgery to eliminate the scar left from the MOHS surgery that Dr. Barrows performed in February 2020. A biopsy was performed and the results were that I STILL have basal cell carcinoma. The MOHS surgery Dr. Barrows performed on my nose did not eradicate my cancer!!!!!!! This is outrageous!

Terrible physician with a terrible staff. I made an appt, they didn’t record it and when i showed up, they had no idea who i was even though i gave them all my information over the phone. I was asked to leave. Never again! This place is a joke. What a waste of time in the midst of covid.

They charged my wife $500 for a 10 minute visits. We paid the $500 and then we’re billed again for the same exact visit and service. We tried to inform them of the double billing but were informed that we just need to pay them again. Sad we can’t go back as he was nice before ripping us off

I saw Dr. Barrows in Gainesville office for a Moh's surgery on my nose. He said very little unless I asked him. While injecting lidocaine in nose, it squirted on face. Almost immediately, he took swipe off my nose, nothing measured or careful about it. Waited a long time before going back in to get another swipe off my nose down to cartilage, again nothing careful or exact about it. Then waited for about 2 hours in waiting room. No one told me if I needed more removed until I asked. Awful!

With many dermatologists to choose from, please consider this review and choose someone other than Dr. Barrows (specifically his PA/NP Matt). I am a physician and well versed in the delivery of appropriate, ethical, and safe healthcare. My husband went for a general check of his moles. During the visit he saw Dr. Barrow's PA/NP Matt. Matt found a mole in his armpit area. He asked if it had changed/grown recently and my husband replied not that he knows of. Matt told him the mole looked completel

Dr Barrows needs a personality and bedside manner. He came into the exam room, didn’t explain the procedure he was doing, and left without saying anything. Not do you have any questions or we’ll come back and tell you with the results or goodbye or thanks for coming in. Nothing! Just left and didn’t know he was leaving or if he was coming back. I normally see Dr Bruno, his PA and he is very good and friendly.

This office worked me over, repeatedly assuring me that the tests they insisted on doing, that I repeatedly questioned, would be 100% covered by my insurance. When I received my $700 bill and contacted the office, they apologized and "felt awful that they gave me the wrong info" but since they did do the unnecessary tests, that I asked them not to do, I am fully responsible for the bill. It is so frustrating that we as citizens, don't have more recourse for this type of behavior.
