We feel lucky to have Dr. Gardiner taking care of our Eye and be our Ophthalmologist for the last 6 years and we hope he will be available the rest of our lives. We happily drive 8 hours from downEast Maine to come to Boston for our eye appointment with Dr. Gardiner, for our annual check up, and will come for any treatment he finds necessary. Total confidence tha we get the best care possible.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Gardiner for 17 years. I would leave a 10 star rating if I could. He is thorough, informative, kind and generous with his time, and reassuring in his exam.

As an attempt to become a new patient, it consumed about 1 hour to first register before I was then transferred to an appointment scheduler to set a time for a comprehensive annual eye exam. I needed an August, 2022 appointment but It was with the scheduler that I learned that I would need to wait 6 months (until December) before I could see Dr. Gardiner or his assistant for the exam. This note is to make you aware of the unreasonable waiting times. I am sure Dr. Gardiner is outstanding in his field, i.e., the 5 stars, but I together with many others will never get to know or benefit from his outstanding ratings.

He is a good doctor, caring and compassionate but caught up in a poor MEEI system.

Dr. Gardiner is the best doctor imaginable. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I had the deepest cataract he had ever seen. I could not see out of my right eye. Dr. Gardiner answered all my questions very thoroughly and in an understandable way. He is highly intelligent. He is highly, highly skilled. He gave me great confidence from the start that he could take care of the situation. Everything went completely smoothly. I am now seeing better than I ever remember seeing in my life. He is completely kind and compassionate. I feel so lucky to have found him. A good friend recommended him to me. I found everyone I met with at MEE very wonderful. Olga in scheduling was extremely kind, compassionate and patient in answering all my questions. Dr. Gardiner gave me great advice on my new post-op prescription glasses and also great advice on prevention for the future.

Dr. Gardiner is a Wonderful doctor. I feel fortunate in having him in charge of my eye care.

Dr. Gardiner is an excellent eye doctor and surgeon. He operated in my right eye nearly two years ago and I’m scheduled for sugary for my left eye August 18th and I’m confident He’ll do a great and successful job as well. Many people have commented that Dr. Gardiner spends a great deal of time with his patients and he doesn’t rush. For people who complain about the frequently long wait time, I say the wait is worth it. What's an hour or two when you're being cared for by the best there is. And remember to BRING A BOOK!!

All office personnel are kind and gracious. Everything is carefully explained, all questions answered in layman's terms. They go well above the standard of excellence.

I am petrified of going to the eye doctor!! BEST experience of my life! Dr. Gardiner is kind, understanding and made me feel so at ease. I have had two cataract surgeries without a problem. He is the BEST!!!
