Due to an unresolved diagnosis, he was meticulous, attentive, and concerned to bro g me back in two different times to get to the bottom of my concerning spot on my ear. Thank you Dr H!

Outstanding Doctor/Mohs Surgery
I had Mohs surgery performed on my right cheek today, 11/17/23 by Dr. Matthew Halpern in Media, PA.Although it's not a pleasant procedure and took several attempts to remove the cancer, I want to commend Dr. Matthew Halpern for doing such an outstanding job. I found him to be very kind, friendly, thorough, competent, patient, empathetic and supportive. I was quite surprised that he even called me tonight to ensure that I was doing okay which I feel he really didn't have to do but I certainly appreciated the call and it meant a lot to me.Also, his entire staff are to be commended as well. I felt they went over and above to make sure I was doing okay throughout the entire procedure.I would recommend Dr. Halpern highly to anyone who requires Mohs surgery or any other surgery that Dr. Halpern can perform.

Dr. Halpern is truly an incredible doctor and mohs surgeon. Between his high expertise and caring bedside manner, I truly could not recommend any doctor more highly than him. If you ever need Mohs done, you know where to go. He also gave me a call that night to see how I was doing- something you don’t see much these days. Really just goes to show how caring and thoughtful he is.

Way too much cutting
I was told there was an hour wait after to mosh surgery to see if the area was clear. After waiting 2 hours, I found they had the results a while back but the doctor had to even let me know it was clear. I then waited for him to sew me up. He was also rude. Kept talking and wouldn’t let me ask a question til the very end. By that time I had forgotten the question. Also the scar was very big

Dr. Halpern was knowledgeable and caring. I had been a patient of BMMSA for over 12 years. I don’t believe they were forthright with me so I went to a new provider. Make sure you receive an after patient visit summary after every appointment…very important.

He was very nice to me at our first meeting. He did the scraping to make sure the skin cancer cells were gone and he got it all the first time. He did the surgery on my scalp with ease and it came out perfect. I had the stitches taken out two days ago, it looks great, even tiny hairs are growing near the wound. I will have a good cover in no time. I am recommending Dr Halpern to anyone who needs the Mohs surgery.

This was my second MOHS surgery performed by Dr Halpern. I had previously experienced other MOHS surgeries when I lived in Florida so I had a basis for comparison. Dr Halpern is very kind and gives a complete explanation of the procedure and always allows time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. He is a great listener and is very caring. Dr Halpern called me personally the evening of both procedures to check on my well being. His assistant Margie is top notch. Highly recommend Windsor Dermatology for MOHS skin cancer surgery.

I have very mixed feelings about this practice. Some of the back office staff are very condescending and disrespectful to patients. They are abrupt when questioned and resistant to shared decision making with patients.

Dr. Halpern is an outstanding Mohs surgeon. He removed a squamous cell cancer from a very tricky location on my right ear and grafted a section of skin from in front of the ear over the surgical site. Great outcome, minimal scarring, fantastic office staff and a very personable physician. Well worth the extra travel time to reach his office from my home.
