Dr. Kernizan is exactly what you want in a medical provider. Easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable.

My eight-year-old had two teeth removed. Dr. Kernizan and staff were very professional, attentive and helpful through the process before and after. Ensured my child was comfortable. They were great communicating with a little one. Highly recommended.

I had 4 deeply impacted wisdom teeth. Other surgeons that I consulted were ready to remove them all, no question. Dr. Kernizan did extensive scans, and explained in detail the risk to 2 out of the 4. He is the most thoughtful, thorough doctor that I have encountered. I feel completely safe in his care and can't recommend him enough. I would give 10 stars if I could.

I brought my little guy to see Dr. Kernizan to have the last of his baby teeth removed and he and his staff were really great, attentive folks. We were pretty much in and out, all things considered. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Kernizan has an easy comfortable manner that puts you at ease as soon as you meet him. His manner is understanding and kind and he is open, honest and explains things in layman's terms. He is the best maxillofacial surgeon I've gone to.Also, the front desk staff at the practice are by far the friendliest, most engaging and kindest front desk staff of any doctor's office I've ever been to. The RN's, techs and other clinical staff are all amazing as well. I haven't dealt with any team member at the practice who has not completely set me at ease. They all interact with smiles on their face and in their voice. I heartily recommend Dr. Kernizan and Maxillofcial and Implant Surgery to anyone.

so im an epilepsy patient and its very common for epileptics to clench their jaw while seizing causing teeth to break, and eventually decay no matter how much brushing and rinsing, it was super hard to find a doctor to work on me with how severe my epilepsy is, and they did it so professionally and flawlessly, ive been seen by very judgmental dentists in the passed but while in his office i didnt feel any judgement at all, the treated me like gold, he and is staff were very thorough with not only my oral needs but my neurological needs. absolutely wonder experience and job all the way around. very professional, ive never felt more comfortable with any dental professionals. they met all my needs and answered all my concerns, if i had to do it again, i wouldn't think twice about any other doctor, hope hes still in practice when my kids need their wisdom teeth out

Dr. Kernizan and the whole staff were wonderful with my nervous 5 year old and had her laughing almost immediately. The procedure was quick and recovery smooth. Everyone had phenomenal bedside manner and were clearly great with kids.

My questions were answered (even before I asked!) Having pretty bad anxiety, going to any dentist can be horrible but I found his tone of voice and reassurance extremely calming. Everything was extremely professional from start to finish, and I would recommend Dr. Kernizan to everyone.

My 95yr old hearing impaired dad had 4 teeth removed. Dr Kernizan and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my dad was comfortable and understood what was going on every step of the way even though that meant pausing to repeat things multiple times. The office is extremely clean and staff are well organized, we were taken in within 10 minutes of our arrival. Everyone was just so nice and I can’t thank you all enough.

I have been in and out of the office since my wisdom teeth removal 8 years ago. I recently had jaw reconstructive surgery June of 2022. Dr. Max was nothing but compassionate and dedicated to making sure I got the results I really wanted. He was there every morning after post op during my hospital stay. He was there with any question or concern I had at any hour of the day. His office was nothing but responsive and welcoming. He really cared about me as a patient. He gave me my confidence back and does amazing work.
