Dr Sanford is a very compassionate caring doctor!! She listens well and encourages physical therapy exercises! Melissa Stanford’s nurse and Staff are great professionals and very friendly.

She gave me all kinds of options and let me think about the route I wanted to go. Even kind when I changed my mind and opted surgery instead of pills. I have other medical issues that requires meds. Very patient, kind and took time to listen.

She seemed very knowledgeable and thorough. And she has been very prompt in communicating lab test results.

Dr. Sanford is very knowledgeable on the Medtronic Interstim and she has been checking mine that was implanted 8 years ago in San Antonio. The battery is now very weak, so she will surgically replace the battery. I highly recommend Dr. Sanford.

I had my first visit with Dr. Sanford and she listened very carefully to my concerns and showed true compassion for me and what I have been through with my kidney issues throughout my life. She established a plan of care for finding out what is causing my kidney problems instead of just treating the pain and infections. She not only told me what tests I need to have done, but also explained how the tests are performed and why I need them. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and made me feel like I am finally going to get some answers. She did not yet know what is causing my terrible pain, but she acknowledged my pain and made me feel as though she really wants to help me. I highly recommend Dr. Sanford. Dr. Sanford is the BEST! I was embarrassed at first to see a urologist, but she put me at ease, made me feel “normal,” assured me a lot of women deal with my issue. She listens to you, provides very thorough treatment options, and lets you make the final decision for your care. Lets you take baby steps if you’re not sure (try this first, if that doesn’t work, move on to the next step, and so on). She wants to be sure that YOU are happy and satisfied with the outcome.

I found Dr Sanford after a doctor here in Midland basically put me on the back burner while I was suffering from a 10mm stone lodged in my uretor. Tried to retrieve it, did some damage trying. Put a tube in my back into the kidney. All of this during Covid. Dr Sanford saw me and moved me to the front of the list for surgery. I had had the tube for 5 months when I met her. Surgery went great with no issues. Before the surgery I was having extreme pain and severe bleeding and had to contact her office numerous times for updates. She actually gave me her personal cell number to call any time I had an issue. Have never seen anyone so vested in their patients care. Cannot say enough about her.
