Before going into Sinus Surgery, look up Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS).Barat pushes surgery and may be deceptive about your condition. I was naive and trusted Doctors.I was told I had polyps, later finding out the cat scan showed no such thing. As I found out later my problems may have been from an infected tooth, but other doctors said it was too late, what was done would give me sinuses issues for the rest of my life, can't replace what was removed. It's been many years, lots of doctor trips, several surgeries to fix issues, visits to universities, etc. PLEASE,,, it is not just your nose, take it very seriously, see others, make a informed decision, it is important to the quality of your life.

Bad "Doctor" Now too old to do safe work
Dr. Barat removed our 3 yr old daughter's tonsils and dropped a "hot knife", burning through the corner of her mouth. Instead of calling for a burn specialist he put stitches in the burned flesh and sent her home to suffer. The stitches tore out immediately. He actually had the nerve to tell us that he would let us know what else he found out because he sent a text to a plastic surgeon colleague of his. We had to take her to the ER the next day and they transferred her by ambulance to Nationwide Children's hospital in Columbus where she was admitted. She was seen by the excellent plastic surgery staff and had some follow-up visits We are normal people who cannot afford to hire the medical experts to sue him and his insurance company. We actually think highly of Avita hospital. We feel that they should reevaluate this doctor to see if he's practiced too long now and should retire. Our daughter is better now but the plastic surgeon said she may have the scar for life.

A great doctor who is focused and bold and persona
I called Dr. Barat with an emergency, sudden hearing loss in one ear. This condition must be treated immediately to have much chance of being effective. He got me in that day, diagnosed the condition correctly, and treated it aggressively resulting in restoration of my hearing over a few weeks, against poor odds. A cannot praise him enough. D. I.

Dr. Barat has been the most amazing doctor I have ever worked with. He is kind, gracious, with just the perfect amount of humor. He is skilled at what he does, explains what he is doing and what he finds. In my situation he originally scheduled a surgery for me in mid November and after a scan that was completed he moved that appointment up by a month and a half. I am less than one day out from a very extensive throat surgery and feel better than I have in a long. Dr. Barat is definitely a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 in customer service and care for his patients. He genuinely cares about the people he provides treatment to. I’ve never met someone so invested in their medical career. I adore this man!

Get a real ENT doctor, if you need one. This guy is rough & very crude. Worst experience of my life!!!!! The only reason I gave him 1 star is because zero stars is not an option!
