Dr. Michael Grimes, MD

The other day I had appointment at 10:40 to see Dr Grimes I got there at 10:42 he refused to see me because I was 2 minutes late all he had to do pretty much was write me a prescription for antibiotics I feel he didn't want to see me because I had MRSA he is not a good doctor at all do not recommend I was so angry so am I can see if I was 5 or 10 minutes late but 2 minutes come on now

I have a very different feeling than other reviews. I transfered to Dr Grimes after my MD of 30 + years retired. His office staff is very polite and attentive. After 15 years of every anti depressant on the market I went to Dr. Grimes and didn't just get a bunch of scripts thrown at me and lectures and I appreciated that. He asked if I was open to taking vitamins or supplements instead of all the other stuff I had been on. I appreciate that about him most. I'm in my mid 40's, I'm healthy and do not like pill pushers.... Dr. Grimes is not that. He takes his time and listens, he provided time for me to ask questions. I appreciate a doctor that treats me more like family than a patient paying for a service. My concerns with my health and family history are his concerns. He monitors blood work and makes recommendations and I like that.

Did not speak to me with respect. I always felt no genuine concern fo my well being. I am twice his age and there has never been a sign of respect.

This man is a joke of a “doctor.” His condescending attitude is very inappropriate. He is stern, terrible bedside manner! I waited WELL OVER MY APPOINTMENT TIME, He would come in and spend..maybe 2 minutes(literally) with me! Then say he was ,”in a hurry.” I felt the care I recieved was soooo subpar, that if I was really sick or hospitalized, I would most likely NOT SURVIVE! Yes. I am not joking! I wonder if he even attended medical school and if indeed he is a “real” doctor with a current unrestricted license! The office staff are just as bad, almost causing me to miss my scheduled testing due to their incapability to do their job!Like, down to the minute!!!! Poorly run office with horrible staff. Get yourself a REAL doctor who CARES about you and your health. Ultimately, YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!

I went to Dr. Grimes in the fall of 2019 and had a very different experience than the other reviews. I do not feel like my appointment was rushed and he did ask me questions that went beyond the basic check boxes of my healthy history questionnaire. He had a medical student with him and let her ask me questions before he jumped in. I appreciated this because he was letting the student interact with me and actively learn rather than just observing his practice. Furthermore, some reviews claim that he's "only in it for the money", but then also say that he recommended natural over the counter remedies for mild medical issues before prescribing pharmaceutical pills. I think that's a sign of an attentive health care provider who is trying to provide relief to his patients without the exposing them to the negative effects of prescription pills. I do not have any complaints about his services during my visit.

Dr. Grimes is literally the worst Dr. that I have ever dealt with. He is a threat to the safety of the public because he is that incompetent at his job. The man perscribed me 500mg of Metformin with an A1C of 6.3 with no follow up visits, no glucose monitoring, and or anything else. He had no clue or comment about why it made me sick or it was discontinued. He referred to my wait and said "at least I can move" when I told him that I was going to seek another doctor. See what I mean? He doesn't listen to you, he doesn't care about you, he's in it for the money

Recommends psuedo medicine like elederberry oil etc but will not prescribe real medicine. Spends almost no time with patient and only really interacts with his nurse not the patient.

Extremely attentive and helpful. Always on time.

Dr. Grimes is very good at recommending natural products for curing many of my medical issues. He was very kind the first time I met with him and took an opportunity to sit down and talk with me on a few occasions. Yes he did get frustrated with me when I did not follow through with his recommendations for my health. That was my problem that I created. He can be harsh towards his patients. The good in him mingles with the bad attitude. I am in a different state, but appreciate him more now!!

He is the absolute worst doctor I have ever been to, He doesn't listen to anything that is said about symptoms or concerns. He comes in the room and immediately gave me a dirty look. He completely ignored the fact that I had a fever during my visit.. He did listen to anything I said and treated me like I was a hysterical crazy woman. He ordered labs and left without any discussion of really anything. I am a healthcare professional and it just seems he is in this for the money, not the patients.

This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. He barely spoke to me. Never discussed his findings, just gave me lab slips and ran out the door. And he sends you back to work if you don't have a fever, no matter how miserable you feel. Still not sure what I paid him for. But he was very worried about getting paid. Find someone else!!!

New patient sharp pain on my left lower side, sent for an ultrasound. First ultrasound was done on my upper body not where my pain was! I was sent back for a second ultrasound and it was also written up for upper body scan. They can't even get the order correct. I got a bill for $200 and had to pay it even though I got nothing.

Thought he was ok at first, but if you have any problems with his treatments or dare question him he gets huffy. He’s professional, straight forward, and I have no problem with that, but, he is a condescending, arrogant person who does not want to hear your concerns. He couldn’t care less how the patient feels. He’s the doctor, and you’re dumb. Any side effects…deal with it! If you don’t understand what he is explaining and ask for clarification, he gets frustrated. Not a people person.

Dr. Grimes was great with my daughter. He had blood work done on her to check her levels and addressed everything that needed to be done very thoroughly and explained everything to my daughter so she would understand. So far our experience with him has been great. The only complaint I have was the wait time. We sat in the waiting room for an hour before getting called back.

This office is the classic example of patient beware. The office is completely unresponsive to patient needs. My latest example is attempting to get a prescription filled. 3 trips to the pharmacy, 4 phone calls to the office, 3 faxes from the pharmacy, 1 trip into the office still no script. Not one phone call has been returned. All you get is a voice mail. No wonder everybody in Alliance takes there health needs to Canton. I chuckle when I see their ad in the Review, accepting new patients.

I was treated very rudely by Dr. Grimes and the office staff. I will not be going back to this office for medical treatment.

Dr Grimes has been very thorough in his treatment of me. I am a new patient and am very impressed. In my initial exam he ordered lab work to see exactly how physically healthy I am. In my second visit he went over the results of my lab work with me personally and has developed a treatment plan to help me manage my diabetes. At the end of each visit i get a written summary (5 pages this time) of my visit, yay! Appt. reminders and summaries are also emailed to me. Dr. Grimes is a quality Doctor.
