What do you say about a surgeon who gave you your life back? I originally had open surgery (the NON-laporascopic type that leaves you with a nice big scar) for an inguinal hernia and I had NOTHING but complications from 2 infections, shingles around the incision, horrific pain, and a realization that my career and life were about to take a sad turn. I was grossly swollen and black and blue from the waist down to my knees. Absolutely desperate for revision surgery, I found Dr. Hibbard and from the very moment I met him, I was wracked with emotion because I knew that this is a doctor who truly cared about what I went through and without a hesitation said he could help me. And when I asked him if I could get a direct number for him in case of any issues, he calmly said, "David, you'll never need it. You'll never even need to see me again." And to my shock, ZERO swelling. ZERO black and blue. ZERO infection!! Today is day 5 and I don't even need any pain killers. As a writer, I can't even come up with a word that goes beyond "grateful"....but I so am!!

1000% recommend this doctor/surgeon. This review is going to be so positive you will think it's fake, or I'm his brother or something, but trust me, I am a plain old civilian Kaiser Permanente member who has just recovered from a surgery that Dr Hibbard performed. First of all, his "bedside manner" is better than any doctor I've ever met, and I'm 54 years old. He feels like a friend instantly, especially because his ease, kindness and openness feels genuine, not like he's playing a role. You can just tell he's a good guy, and he has the confidence of someone who really knows what he is doing. Second, he did an incredible job in my surgery, which was mostly functional but had an esthetic element that turned out amazing when it could have been ugly under someone else's knife. Lastly, the follow up was great. He put me at ease, answered all of my questions, didn't make me feel rushed, I had his full attention and care. He is truly exceptional, and if I ever need surgery again...boom!

Dr. Michael Hibbard performed robotic surgery on me for a hernia. It was an excellent surgery in which I experienced no pain or discomfort, during or after. He was sensitive to my rights and preferences as a patient. I highly recommend Dr. Hibbard.

My 91 yr old Mom who was diagnosed with Demencia, was referred to Dr. Hibbard by her PCP for biopsy. Dr. Hibbard Talked to us in a condescending way. He told my Mom after removing the dressing from her womb in a ruff/harsh way, so ruff that she was moaning and making hurtful sounds, he didn’t even say, I’m sorry Mrs. Raleigh for hurting you. Then in an uncaring way he says “it’s cancer” without even a biopsy. If this Doctor was trying to make me feel beneath him, he accomplished it.
