Dr. Michael Russo, MD

Dr. Russo is amazing!! He helped us as parents and our 6 year old daughter feel at ease through our appointment and endoscopy procedure. His office went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I would highly recommend Dr. Russo.

We’ve seen Dr Russo for almost 12 years now. He’s always been patient, informative and caring! Our child has had to undergo several EGD’s (which are not risk free). We truly trust Dr Russo with our child’s well being. When dealing with a chronic health circumstance, it gets tiring having to manage, research and second guess medical advice. That said, we are so thankful to have a Dr that gives us as parents a break from having to be the “doctors”! We still drive back to him even though we now live in a different state.

Dr. Russo was incredible with my son. Made him giggle the whole time. Listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. Would recommend him to everyone!

Dr Russo and his team in Plano are great. We had a bad experience at another clinic and went to Dr Russo. He's very kind and gentle. He answered all of my questions. He was thorough and when we had to go to Cook in Prosper for a scope, it was the best experience ever. We had to leave TX, but if we return, we will use him again if needed.

We have consulted Dr. Russo for our son's GI, EoE. Dr. Russo was thorough explaining the options we have and the procedures that we need. Doctor went through the pros and cons of the options, allowed us to think through them, research them before making decisions. Dr. Russo was very diligent in finding the root cause of the issue and makes the best decision for our son along with us. Thank you!

Dr. Russo has been our pediatric gastroenterologist for quite some time now. As a mother with 3 medically complex children I am absolutely in debt to Dr. Russo. He’s conservative with their treatment, clear with his treatment plans, and very good at communicating. As well I’m grateful for his ability to brainstorm with me to come up with ways to treat without forgetting that they’re children. So if you are looking for an amazing pediatric gastroenterologist Dr. Russo is definitely the doctor for your family!

My 6 year old complained of pain while eating anything. Literally anything! As a parent I feared the unknown. My first visit with Dr. Russo made me face what I feared - an Endoscopy. All I can say is at the end of it all I felt like God had sent an Angel to help us in the form of Dr. Russo. He was so gentle and loving towards my child at the same time extremely knowledgeable in his field! His prediction of what the problem was right on target. I am happy my Pediatrician recommended him. We know the cause of the issue and we are on our way to a treatment plan! I highly recommend him.

Dr. Russo has been my doctor for over 6 years. He is the most caring and trusting doctor that I have ever had. I have had to switch over to an adult doctor and I guess I never realized how good I had it. Dr. Russo goes above and beyond to make his patients his top priority. Not only has he been able to put my parents at ease while I was so sick, but he has also always given me a sense of hope. He will always listen attentively and make sure he has every detail. He truly defines the word caring.

Wow! Absolutely amazing doctor! It is immediately clear from the moment that he walks into the room that he was meant to work with kids! To say that he has a wonderful bedside manner would be an understatement. Dr. Russo is thorough, kind and really gives you the feeling that he really cares about your kid! My son said during our first visit "I really like you as my doctor!" He's so fun which makes needing a gastroenterologist not such a bummer! Highly recommend!

Dr. Russo accurately diagnosed my son with Crohn's Disease 6 years ago. He has given my son wonderful ongoing care for all these years and now my son "aged out" of pediatric care. But I highly recommend him as he has a conservative, caring and calm approach with his patients.

Dr. Russo has been seeing our twins since they were babies, and he is a truly wonderful doctor. He's helped us through so many things, and he's a big reason they are growing and thriving like they are. Plus he's super nice, great with kids, respectful of my kids, and supportive of our family. My son is a cancer survivor and had been very sick for over a year. He had a 30 lb weight loss, couldn't eat, nausea, constipation, very lethargic, headaches pretty much daily! We had exhausted every resource and doctor available to us! Every doctor we saw continued to say my son was exaggerating and he was enjoying the sympathy As a last ditch effort I made an appointment with my sons Oncologist. She made 1 call to Dr. Russo. And over the phone told her its EE! Dr. Russo saved my sons life!!!
