Dr. Michael Shie, MD

I recently had the misfortune of being treated by Dr. Shie, and it was one of the most disappointing medical experiences I have ever had. As a patient with Multiple Sclerosis for over 18 years, I am no stranger to pain. However, during a recent episode with a bone infection, I experienced the most excruciating pain of my life. Despite my clear communication about the severity of my discomfort, Dr. Shie was dismissive, rude, and condescending.Rather than showing any empathy or concern for my well-being, Dr. Shie repeatedly removed necessary pain medications from my treatment plan, prioritizing what seemed to be personal bias over patient care. His behavior was not only unprofessional but borderline negligent. Pain management is a fundamental part of compassionate care, yet Dr. Shie chose to ignore my suffering. Patients deserve doctors who listen, understand, and empathize. Shie did not meet even the most basic standards of care. Callous and deplorable.
