I went into my appointment hoping for a treatment plan to help better manage my symptoms. Such as dietary recommendations, medication options/alternatives, and general discussion and recommendations about my condition. My appointment started by Dr. Sifford entering the room, introducing himself, and announcing “I’ll make this quick”. This was made even clearer throughout the appointment by his tone, demeanor, and short answers. He wanted to be done and move on to the next obligation as quickly as possible. He asked what I was currently doing to manage my symptoms and provided no advice or suggestions. He told me about multiple surgical options after I voiced that I did not want surgical intervention and that was not the reason for my visit. Instead of open discussion, I was talked at and I was told that “there isn’t a magic pill or cure” and that I can follow up with another provider in office and to let him know when I “got bad enough to want surgery”. I was talked over and gaslighted

Dr. Sifford seemed far too busy to answer any of my questions about the results of the procedure and treated me as if I were an annoyance. Luckily, as it turned out, my loved one did not have a serious problem. I couldn't imagine dealing with his impatience and arrogance in a more problematic situation.

It is a sad day when a physician is more concerned about your treatment costing the tax payers money than your life itself. His words were something like this -you know this treatment is expensive and somebody has to pay for it. Hope he or his family never have to walk in these shoes.
