Dr. Monte Nussbaum, MD

Not sure if this was the doctor's doing, but I called for an annual medical visit which was coming up because my regular doctors' office was not going to continue accepting my secondary insurance. They scheduled me for an appointment with Dr. Nussbaum that week for a visit that lasted no more than fifteen minutes. When I got the bill it showed that Medicare denied it because it was coded as a 'preventive medicine' visit which is not covered. After speaking to Medicare I was informed that it should have been coded as a 'new patient' visit since my annual medical wasn't due until 7 weeks later, a fact that should have been made known to me before scheduling the visit. In any event my secondary insurance covered 80% of the $730 charge and I was billed $186. I have since requested the claim be re-submitted to Medicare with the correct coding. I wonder if the mis-coding is an anomaly or might be a common 'error' having some other purpose.

Doctor would not refill my prescription and would not return my calls. Waited till I was out of my meds that I had been taking for 40 years. Had told getting the script would be a non issue. If you want a doctor that thinks he’s a comedian than you will like him. He was my primary doctor for six months. Big mistake plus I would advise staying away from Northwell Health located in lynbrook n.y. Poorly run facility.

Dr. Nussbaum is a great doctor! Wish he didn't work for Northwell! They are terrible and can never get an appointment and never picks up the phone. I would change doctors but I value and really like Dr. Nussbaum.

I've been going to Dr Nussbaum for 25+ years. He is very friendly and intelligent. He's a straight shooter, he'll tell you what he thinks without hesitation, in a good way. And he's always good for a joke.

Impossible to get in touch with anyone in the office. One person tells you one thing and another tells you the opposite. Not worth it.

Well I've been a patient of Dr Nussbaum for over 30 years.He is very professional and takes the time to really listen to a patient.I feel so comfortable with him His doctor skills are top notch and his personality is amazing.i would recommend him to anyone in fact many of my friends go to him without my knowledge and i have yet to see anyone who was disappointed with his service.

Dr Nussbaum is great!! However trying to call the office for an appointment or renew meds is a nightmare. I was on hold for over one (1) hour. I finally hung up. Happens all the time. There’s enough people who work there but none can pick up the phone???

Caring ,concerned , interested in my well-being. Called right away with my blood work results! This was my 1st visit and I was very comfortable with Dr Nussbaum

Dr. Nussbaum, on my initial visit, was warm and friendly. He entered the exam room in walking shorts and a Make A Wish Sweatshirt but throughout the conversation I felt comfortable and aware of his knowledge and expertise. Thankfully, I am a healthy patient and in that regard would recommend this doctor to my family.

Never going to them again! I've been going to them for over 14 years and they have a new doctor there who coded my bloodwork incorrectly resulting in my insurance not covering it. I called numerous times to get this problem fixed, finally getting a promise that it would be fixed and I just decided another bill from the bloodwork for the full amount! They did not fix anythinng and now MY credit is being affected due to their mistake. Do not use them they will rob you.
