Thorough in explaining procedures, listens patiently to concerns and her staff loves her. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Here today, gone tomorrow
I saw Dr. Urato on recommendation from South Osprey Dermatology. I saw her for consultation and she prescribed an ointment which I used for 5 days. In the meantime, she left the practice with no notice. When I saw a different Mohs surgeon at a different practice, I learned that the ointment was contraindicated for applications on the face, especially near the eye...that is where my cancer was located. In the end, I'm glad I didn't 'go under the knife' with her. Don't want anyone else to see her.

More concerned about money than the patients
After my regular dermatologist retired I tried Dr. Urato and Framingham Dermatology. The Doctor did not provide the exam she left that to one of her staff. I was told that many spots needed to be biopsied. The same small freckles that had been there for years and no other office had been concerned about. Of course they told me not to worry they were nothing...but let's test them anyways. These tests cost thousands. I am concerned that they are running these tests just for the insurance payments. They all came back benign. I left the office with the sinking feeling like I had been scammed. On top of this the front desk staff is incompetent. Did not bill me then sent me to collections over $25 copay! Imagine more than a year after this unethical practice to receive a bill from a collection agency.

Visit
It’s been a while but I recall thinking the front desk person was unprofessional. The Doctor was not pushing any drugs or therapy on me, just a few photos and a wait and watch approach which I appreciated.

I tend to agree with the other negative ratings. It does seem to be about the $. AWFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE STAFF. There was misdiagnosis, lost medical records, confusing communication, after too many appointments and money dished out.

I would not recommend this practice. I feel concerns are more with the billing practices not patient care

Not thrilled. Both the assistant who takes your summary inside the room, (nurse? Assistant?) AND the Dr. Were both pushing for me to take oral meds for my psoriasis - instead of discussing with me my topical options. Then they “forced” me to use a pharmacy right by their office - still trying to figure out how that happened. IF I ever go back - doubtful - I will INSIST on using MY preferred pharmacy. Their pharmacy called me today to say they were trying to get approval for Otezla with my insurance company - I said, I NEVER AGREED to take that med..... Also the Dr. seemed to have zero empathy for someone with psoriasis over 50%-65% of their body.... I suspect she’s all about the $ and there is something fishy between her and that pharmacy.

Every time this doctor Urato performed a precedure on my face I had some sort of a worse issue to deal with. The last time I let her do work on my face she caused permanent scarring on my forehead from a botched Botox injection that she scrued up! The real sad thing is that she refused to except any resposibiliry for her error and sent me to another doctor to fix her mistakes? I am now permanently scarred and seeking a malpractice attorney! My advice to you is check credentials first! Eric

Dr Urato is warm and attentive. Seems a bit disorganized though. Office staff needs major work. Scheduling an appointment over phone is very difficult and front office isn't the best. Long wait time , I've been to several locations.

Bed side manner of the resident was so poor I am surprised I did't just walk out, did not ask any questions about how my psoriasis was impacting me, which covers 95% of my body, started to try and sell me services that were not covered by insurance. Then this same person asks me "what I think we should do" ah...your the Doctor. Dr. Urato should up and was more concerned about getting me in and out. There was never any follow up or topical options offered. The visit was a complete waist

This office is all about making money. I came with a medical problem, instead 2 minutes into my exam she started offering me cosmetic procedures, one of them being skin cancer prevention treatment. Plus, they won't release biopsy results unless you come for a second visit and pay just to hear that the biopsy came back negative, but why don't you do laser treatment, look at your skin, too many dark spots. When I go to the Doctor, I expect it to be about my medical condition, not spa treatments

Wait almost an hour to see the doctor, ok, I can deal with that. Refusal of a dermatologist to do a regular skin check, not acceptable. Told to make another appointment. She slipped out of the room so fast I did not have time to ask her to look at an area of my back that concerned me. Was told by nurse she would not come back but the nurse did go out and try to ask her to come back to complete my exam. She did not. Obviously she was over an hour behind schedule and I was her catch up apt.

I had the IPL fraxel. $500. That experience was totally traumatizing. My face was disfigured. My family was very concerned. It took 8 hours of icing, and 10 days to return to normal. However my brown spots never improve and I developed new ones. My impression of Dr. Uratu is that she is looking to make a buck, her medical advice is base in profits. Too sad. My advice is look for a different provider. But is easy to make an app. there, I wonder why.

my experience was terrible, first I called for an appointment the attendant was busy and a second person answer the phone, could not understanding him well, he told me to go Tuesday at 4:30. Once I got there they said I had nothing scheduled for that day, one of the secretaries Clementina was very rude and changing the subject not even knowing my name said that the reason was because of my insurance. To turn long story short, was a big disappointment to wait for 2 weeks to see the doctor.
