Horrid
Went to urgent care today. She walked in with attitude and entitlement from the start. She minimized my symptoms and belittled my wife and I. I was scared all week about these health symptoms and she was rude, disrespectful, and didn’t listen to a single thing we said. No clue why she’s a doctor if you don’t care or have empathy for patients at all. She should be fired.

An Embarrassment to the Medical Establishment
I recently saw Dr. Alston at Jefferson Urgent Care in Center City, Philadelphia. When describing my symptoms and also previous care instructions from my brother, an Internal Medicine Hospitalist who works out of state, she immediately told me I was being disrespectful and that she would do her own evaluation. I was shocked and confused. I told her I meant no disrespect and just wanted to give her a history of the last couple days. She then went on to tell me to go see my Primary Care Provider. She was incredibly rude and her evaluation felt like she was done with me and was trying to get me out the door. I then walked down the street to another urgent care provider and the experience was night and day. If you can avoid this doctor, do so at all costs. Her bed-side manner is so poor that it borders on satire.

Terrible Doctor -- Mistakenly Prescribed Me Chemo
She meant to prescribe me another medication with also started with C and instead prescribed me 'cyclophosphamide,' which is a chemotherapy drug for breast cancer. Luckily I noticed the mistake and called to have it corrected. For reference I am a healthy young man and do not have breast cancer fortunately. She was also very rude and so was her staff, and it took me two attempts to get an appointment because they canceled it without alerting me the first time. When I got there the second time, the lady at the front forgot to check me in and I waited over an hour. At least she apologized; the rest of the staff was very rude like Dr. Alston. I am never going back there.

Degrading and Offensive
Alston was accusatory, defensive, unprofessional, rude, arrogant, disrespectful and just straight out mean. She refused to answer my questions and she made several mistakes regarding my medical history. This woman should NOT be a doctor.

Rudest pcp I’ve ever seen. I’ve never felt so intimidated, couldn’t elaborate on symptoms. Easily frustrated and very unprofessional. King of Prussia, you see these reviews: please fire her!!!

Rude and unprofessional
I wished I had read the reviews. She is exactly what all the one star review says. I have never seen a doctor who has refused to answer the question saying your time is up. King of Prussia Fam Practice should do better.

Thinking of reporting Her to the licensing board
I have been going to King of Prussia family medicine for many years, and never had any issue with other physicians. The first time I see Dr. Alston, she did not do any physical examination, belittled me, and ultimately made feel unwelcome in an office that I have been going to since I was a kid. I have been thoroughly considering reporting her to the physician licensing board for behavior unbecoming of a physician. I do not know how this physician still has a license to practice medicine, because she will hurt a patient someday for not practicing preventative medicine by not taking a patient’s health concerns seriously, which is precisely her job as a primary care physician. Dr. Alston needs her license to practice medicine revoked, and it is my hope that action is taken sooner rather than later before someone is seriously hurt. It is also my hope that her employer take action by disassociating themselves permanently with this sorry excuse for a physician.

King of Prussia Fam Prac. DO BETTER!!
Zero stars, zero professionalism, zero concern for the 94 year oldPatient, zero , zero , zero! What Dr Alston does have is a huge attitude, lots of aggressive behavior, a massive lack of concern for anyone’s time but her own after a 1 and a half hour wait for her to show up. She spent less than 5 minutes in the room and then refused to come back in oranswer my mothers questions. This horrid person should not be allowed to treat patients or practice medicine!! One and done!

Pathetic
We have been going to the King of Prussia Family Medicine practice for over 30 years and won't be going back after experiencing this turnstile doc. We have never come across a physician as disrespectful of the patient as this one and that's saying a lot as we've seen our fair share of god complexes. This one had no interest in listening, did not do a basic assessment and barely looked up from her laptop. Avoid at all costs.

If zero stars was an option I would choose it.
I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Alston to establish a new primary care doctor and when I arrived she told me she would not be able to do a physical but I was not scheduled for a physical. I told her why I was there and she immediately told me I would need to be referred out to a specialist without asking about my history or asking if I had any previous records that could be sent over for her to review. She was very dismissive and short and I no longer saw the point in staying for an appointment with someone who was not listening or compassionate to my needs. I told her 'her reviews spoke for themself' and walked out. The front desk staff could tell something was wrong and I asked them to be rescheduled with a different provider. They were very understanding and got me scheduled with someone else for the next day.

We have been patient with King Of Prussia Family Medicine for more than 25 years now. Our PCP is Dr. Ecker a fantastic physician. Yesterday since we couldn’t get Dr. Ecker’s time due to his busy schedule, saw Dr. Alston. Very disappointed. The tone was stern, wasn’t patient centric, didn’t even touch the patient even with steth, didn’t physically exam the problem we reported and she made us go to ER for removing a suture that was more than two weeks old. The ER attendant was surprised that we were sent there for this simple task of removing suture. I am not sure of the protocol but felt unnecessary. First she said she would talk about the cyst that was removed and sutured couple of weeks back since in our appointment request I had reported only the ankle fracture issue. Come on! This is PCP not a specialist visit. I never had this kind of experience in these many years. We decided, it is time to change PCP after more than quarter century.

I visited this doctor's office for a prescription refill after my previous lab results were normal, indicating that my current medication was effective. However, the doctor declined to refill my prescription and insisted on seeing a specialist, which seems unnecessary and could potentially cost me more time and resources. I was disappointed by the lack of consideration for my situation and the attitude displayed during the visit.

Do not recommend
Highly do not recommend! As a woman of color I'm saying this. Please don't go or take your family to be treated as if you're an annoyance. They are rude, disrespectful and Dr.Alston herself is aggressive. Save yourself the trouble and just go to another provider. These reviews are true! We are just trying to help.

I had a great experience with Dr. Alston. I changed my previous primary doctor and she was exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Alston went over my history, offered solutions, and had a plan of action for my blood pressure and weight. Dr. Alston was informative on my conditions and I felt at ease speaking with her. I was concerned in the beginning, when I first arrived the front desk person did not greet me, there was no sign-in sheet, so as I stood in front of the window and without ever looking up the clerk told me she will be with me and made a head gesture to have a seat I guess so I did. I was wondering had I made a mistake by coming to this office. As I checked out the same clerk acknowledged me and apologized for the wait which was due to them being short staffed. I understood and after talking with Dr. Alston I knew I was going to make her my primary.

Met Dr. Alston today to consider her as a primary care doctor for me and to address several questions about my health. She seemed nice at first, but as I thought later about the conversation, I realized that she was only half listening to my words, probably because she was already forming opinions. She left the room briefly and I mentioned I would have more questions when she came back, and she said that was fine. When she did return, she said I could go check out. I reminded her that I had more questions, and she told me that I had already had three questions and that if I had more issues to deal with, we might have to reschedule. In the end she did listen briefly to the other questions. Dr. Alston gave me a few suggestions which may be helpful for my health issues, but based on today I will not be returning to see her. I want a doctor who listens and cares.

Dr Alston is nasty and very unprofessional all of these reviews are true and it’s not about race because I’m African American also. It’s unfortunate me nor my aunt will be attending this office anymore because of he rude remarks. I made a mistake and asked her a question more than once about my blood work she replied that I must have amnesia because she told me once before. She laughed at me and continued to say things inappropriate. I’m reporting her.
