Dr. Naveed Butt, MD

He is not someone I would see or waste my time with if you want someone to find out what is going on with a problem you have. I went to a different doctor and even gave Dr Butt am opportunity to know what was said. He missed an autoimmune disorder and then refused to acknowledge “because it wasn’t textbook”. I guess he’s never heard of treat the patient as people aren’t textbooks. Then to make matters worse, he had the office manager come follow him and then lied in front of her. I will never recommend him, this precise or anyone with WVU. What a joke of the medical practice. It’s sad beyond sad that they are allowed to take people’s money and give them any treatment. They have should have their licenses reviewed and potentially revoked.

The only doctor to actually address issues presented to him. BP was a concern, he addressed it and ordered tests that concluded there weren't any health issues. A complaint re breathing prompted him to review our pulmonologist's findings and went over the results-clearly and ordered a "maintenance" inhaler that almost immediately resulted in relief. Very competent and thorough.

My oncologist said my PCP needed to order a specific blood test and his reaction to this was very shocking. As the patient I am at the mercy of my physicians working together. He was offended and went on a rant when I mention the test. After becoming emotional (due to severe health challenges in last year) he started laughing at me while I was crying. My prior appt he was not prepared. He had the facts of why I was there incorrect and then tried to prescribe me medication that I am allergic to. I feel he needs to learn how to treat patients with compassion and care and certainly come into an appointment prepared.
