i have been working with dr lopez since 2016 - she did my radiation treatment and helped me a lot but the past few years she has a very arrogant attitude with me. i mentioned depression and anxiety one time knowing that it could be off levels. i was told that because i have a history of mental health my thyroid won’t affect it that i should see a psychiatrist. so i was shut down telling her my feelings and gotten a second opinion at rush. she has been filling my prescription for years and i go do the bloodwork. now her offices say she doesn’t take my insurance and will no longer refill my script. i asked if my script could be filled until i found a new doctor and was told “no, just ask the pharmacy if they can give you any emergency refills” i have never had a doctor tell me to just ask the pharmacy for a refill because i know for a fact they will not fill something without a dr script. so now i am completely out of medication with NO thyroid waiting over a month to see someone knew.

My appointment was similar to the others who had negative experiences. She didn’t seem to take my concerns seriously and when I wanted to know about ordering additional bloodwork because I have diabetes she gave me attitude and made me feel like a fool. Very disrespectful.

She was nice my first appointment when my husband was with me and acted very caring and concerned. My next appts, a totally different person! She also wouldn't do all the lab work I requested for thyroid etc And don't get me started on med options. When trying to discuss it with her she was very rude and had arrogant attitude. I'm very educated on the subject as I've been living without a thyroid for yrs. I ended up going to an Integrative Dr who did proper labs/med changes and doing great now!
