Dr. Burns performed my emergency colon resection. He was kind, knowledgeable and calm during a very scary time. Very professional. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Burns is an outstanding surgeon. He attentively listened to my symptoms, did a thorough assessment, diagnosis was spot on. Surgery was scheduled, everything went like clock work. After a year of on and off pain I am now pain free. What a difference an experienced surgeon can make in a patients life. Dr. P. Burns is a 5 star, 5 diamond surgeon in my opinion. I highly recommend him.

I came to Dr. Burns after a couple months of pain on my right side. I saw a gastrologist and also had a visit to the ER. The ER looked at my scan results and said it's probably my gallbladder. Penrose gave me another surgeon's card, but I chose Dr. Burns. His office manager is wonderful and immediately got me in and set up a surgery date at Memorial to remove my gallbladder. Dr. Burns is a highly skilled surgeon. I had no complications and feel amazing a couple weeks after surgery!

Dr. Burns accommodated my need to have surgery done quickly but thoroughly due to a previously planned family trip overseas. Dr. Burns, his office, and the hospital staff were all kind and efficient.
