Cimzia, which literally means I may develop antibodies to it while I wait for their appeal process (appeal submitted 04/25 not qualified by Cigna independent board as urgent). If I develop antibodies, I will need to switch medication, which means I will not be able to have a child in a very long time. It is the only medication I can take for my autoimmune condition that does not cross placenta barrier. The last dose I took was 04/01, and this is a monthly injection. I think a case be made that this is torture, but what do I know my family are Russian lawyers. #Cigna RheumatoidArthritis.net #ArthritisAwareness #arthritisfoundation @Dr. Patty Shih, MD

Dr. Patty Shih
Dr. Shih didn't have the chops to make it as a practicing physician so she chose a career path at an insurance carrier and now makes her livelihood denying coverage for your medication.

Couldn't hack it as a doctor
Couldn't hack it as a doctor so now she just spends her time helping insurance companies deny people medications.
