Dr. Paul Chappano, MD

It's nice when things go well, or we feel better, but he has made serious mistakes as a surgeon, on multiple patients. He is not a surgical oncologist.

He is always prepared. His knowledge is impeccable. He is very caring and pleasant. Highly recommend him.

First time I met him, I could tell how smart he is and how to go about what my problem was. I trust him.

I would recommend Dr. Chappano to anyone needing gastric bypass surgery. He explained everything in advance, had his nurses explain everything and I left his office after the initial visit fully advised of what to expect. This is the only surgery I had with him, but I say he's the best in my book. When 3 of my other doctors recommended him, I was really impressed, and more so when I went to see him for my first visit. Thank you, Dr. Chappano.

This guy is the real deal. I was referred to Dr. Chappano nearly 10 years ago to have a lump removed from my next. Which he performed flawlessly. 4 years ago i was diagnoised with colon cancer. When I was informed that Dr. Chappano was going to be my surgeon, my wife and I were estactic. Dr. Chappano is a god send. He saved my live. Not only did he perform my colon cancer surgery, but while on chemo and radiation, when I had an infection develope, Dr Chappano was the only one who discovered it after two doctors and a trip to the emergency room found nothing, Dr. Chappano just happen to stop by the emergency room while I was there and found the infection. He took me off of chemo and radiation before my remaining colon burst. Thank you Dr. Chappano you are the best. I continue to use him when needed to this day

I had my consultation with Dr Chappano on February 7, 2019. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Chappano, I had my hernia surgery on February 20, 2019. His office staff and the staff at The Riverside St. Vincent's hospital were incredible. Everyone I came in contact with had a smile and so helpful. A few were even funny. I cannot imagine a better surgey experience. These wonderful people know what they are doing. I am so happy and no more hernia. : )

I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and my doctor referred me to Dr. Chappano and I am so glad she did!!! I am still under his care and he has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. I hate going to doctors but seeing Dr. Chappano is like a walk in the park.

Dr Chappano is very thorough and has a great bedside manner. He showed my husband and I the cat scan pictures and explained the problem, and how surgery could help. On the day of surgery he had to take an unexpected emergency surgery, which took him many hours. I was concerned because that pushed my survey into the evening and I was afraid he would be too exhausted to do mine. When he came in to talk with me before the surgery he was smiling and ready to take care of me. He did a great job.

Dr. Chappano provides the best care! His staff is caring and friendly. I trust Dr. Chaappano completely. Not only do I see him but my husband does also. He explains what he will do during your surgery and he follows through. He listens and answers any questions and spends lots of time with you. He is truly a great surgeon. The best!!

Great Dr. -I was in St. Vincents for 5 days and he made it a point to stop in every day and discuss any concerns that I had after my operation which he performed.

Dr. Chappano made both me and my mom very comfortable. He answered all our questions and never tried to rush us. He has an easy going manner and is very down to earth!

Great Surgeon who removed my thyroid. Really takes his time to explain my cancer to me and what are my options. English is not my primary language so he even worked with me in his office with a language phone app I have on my phone, and had a doctor on hand for my surgery that spoke my native language. Dr, Chappano really took the extra time to make me comfortable with my condition and procedures I needed to treat my condition.
