Dr. Coffeen has a terrible bedside manner and was completely dismissive of my concerns because of my age. He made no effort to educate me and acted inconvenienced by my questions.

I've been a patient of Dr. Coffeen for several years now due to my ICD. While he is certainly good at what he does, he lacks bedside manner. He often comes across cold and condescending, as though he doesn't see you as a person but as a diagnosis. I tried talking to him about a severe issue I experienced as a result of my first surgery, and he brushed me off with a smile and a knee-pat. He's not personable, but he gets the job done.

My previous primary care physician (now retired) always referred me to excellent doctors and so it was with Dr. Coffeen. Even though he sometimes misses my appointment (due to emergency surgery), his PA/associate is very knowledgeable. My last visit she explained that I was back ‘into’ Afib and then presented three options which Doctor Coffeen had recommended. There was no pressure on me to choose a treatment and after a good discussion I chose one that I can feel comfortable with. Dr. Coffeen is caring, kind, and has a good sense of humor. And I trust him.

My visit was a FU, postop cardiac procedure. All visits with Dr. Coffeen pre- and postop have been professionally informative, and reassuring. Dr. Coffeen explained options and allowed me to use the option that benefitted me. Thank you, Dr. Coffeen, for your skilled approach and intervention for my cardiac medical needs. Postop, I am experiencing an increase in the ability to perform activities of daily living and a general feeling of well-being (not so before procedure).

Every single person, from the receptionist to Dr Coffeen is professional, friendly and treats you and your health as if it is the most important thing in their day. They take time to listen and they take time to answer all questions. Having heart issues is a very scary situation, they understand and treat you accordingly. And the care you receive is amazing. I would recommend Dr Coffeen and his staff to anybody.

Dr. Coffeen has treated my A-fib for six years. He has done an amazing job controlling my stubborn case of A-fib. He has performed a convergent procedure and two ablations on my heart. He and his NP Cheryl provide excellent care. His staff is very efficient and polite. He has a great team in place to care for his patients.
