Dr. Paul Geibel, MD

I will never know how Dr.Geibel would have helped me with my condition. The staff or nurse should have sent my order for an MRI to the imaging center my insurance was in-network with. Twice I had to go in person to ask what needs to be done. They gave me a number to text and I did many many times and they or she never responded whatsoever or never responded to my calls. Never have I been treated this way by any doctor’s staff. Horrible.

Dr Geibel is personable and listens

I appreciate the fact that Dr Geibel respects my decisions about what medications I decide to take or not take. He listens to my concerns about narcotic meds and my wish NOT to take them due to all the side effects they have on my body. He is very concerned about after surgery care as well. Great Doctor. SO glad I found him.

Follow-up to surgery

The staff at the San Marcos office were so awesome.. they made you feel like you were the only one in the office.. love you guys.!!

Dr. Geibel did surgery on my 81 year old mom. Obviously she is sore from the surgery however the leg pain is gone. She is walking a couple times per day and doing very well. He communicated very well regarding informing us along the way.

Outstanding bedside manners

Back surgery went like clockwork from the first office visit to the post op care. My husband is pain free for the first time in years. Don't be afraid of the back surgery if you are seeing Dr. Geibel. The results have been more than we could have hoped for. His staff goes above and beyond to make the entire process seamless.

He is as good as doctors get .Not in a hurry,looking for best outcome.

Dr. Geibel has been the back surgeon for my husband, and myself - all with excellent results. He is very patient to explain x-rays and procedures and South Texas Spine and Surgical Hospital is top-notch. A local surgeon told me I was too old at the time (60 yrs. old) to have a minimally invasive procedure to repair a buldging disc and pinched nerve - so I suffered with this condition for several years until I could no longer hardly walk, drive, sit or stand - finally I heard about Dr. Geibel. It was a long drive to San Antonio from where we lived - but well worth the effort. Immediately after surgery, I was relieved of pain and able to walk, drive, sit, stand and sleep at night without interruption. Ten (10) years later, at the age of 70, I get around just as good at age 60. I do have to limit the weight I pick up, I am careful about too much exercise - but I am very pleased with the results.

Dr. Geible is the Best. He is a gentleman and a great surgeon. Do to my line of work I continued to hurt my back. I went back to Dr. Geible and he put me through physical therapy before suggesting surgery. The surgery always relieved my pain. I trust this doctor with any spinal problems I have. He gives you all the time you need and encourages questions.

Dr. Geibel was professional and listened well. I’ve never had a bad appointment with Dr. Geibel. He usually runs a little late but, I’m aware of it.
